Damn, that's a tragic loss to the scene. Hopefully its not permanent and ATC makes a comeback sometime next year.

Wow long interview, quite interesting too.
Re: Expectations of foreigners in Korean leagues, I guess we're kinda spoiled from the days of Jinro and Idra absolutely cleaning house, and even Stephano doing pretty decently. In this day and age, I'd just like Scarlett to hold her own, not get wiped 3-0 or w/e, and if she wins a round or two the hype will be real!
Scarlett fighting!

u know what. i played dota since like before time, i stopped in feb as i had a kid. Its amazing not playing dota has reduced the rage in my house to simply sighing at fundementalists and wanting to float david cameron down the thames on a float in a teletubby onsie with the words 'Is this really terrorism' on the side of the float.
Ill probably be arrested tomorrow for even suggesting that, all jokes aside if someone actually did that id probably buy them a pint.
Oh shit yeah, scarlett .. stoked. Keeps on impressing more and more.
As for Jinro and idra, they wre th golden days for me. But they were both very similar stories. Stories of hope that didnt quite succeed. The difference between those two though is character and class. Tons of respect for both, but Jinro was a guy i loved to watch and feel for when he lost. I genuinely miss him and his attempts at mech in a world with maps that were waaay too short for it.
I hope scarlett can do well, or at least lose while winning at effort. I love watching amazing players play their best. Good results are great, but pure competition is better. And i am pretty sure she will win on that front. Shit that sounds depressing, but its really about fighting spirit and tears of win.

excited for her, but honestly i don't expect much out of her if she's been playing dota and not sc2. the koreans certainly haven't been goofing off.

Great interview, good luck to Scarlett. Interested to know what team house she will stay and train in.

Agreed. She's got incredible base skills and I can't wait to watch her play, but the fact that she's enthusiastically getting distracted by MOBAs during the interview is not exactly Kespa level professionality.. those guys don't play games for smiles and giggles.
Also, as an SC2 fan - the people (and tournaments) who give off the illusion that they are 24-7 undeniably passionate and focused on "our" game, SC2, will of course be more fun to watch commentate and play SC2. They will get more cred, attention and money in the long run (even if it's just an illusion and their real love child is Angry Birds).
This is as you were to interview chess star Magnus Carlsen and he would be talking about playing tic-tac-toe during the whole interview. Or an interview with Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage while he was cosplaying for a Star Trek convention. Dissonant vibe.
Anyway - fingers crossed for her performance. GL
