He's always had that in him. I think he's the only terran who do army splits vs Zerg. Watch his series vs Impact and DRG in code A.

Bbyong is a world class terran poor Bbyong he get's almost as little cred as Classic. Literally everything you heard from anyone from Bbyong's GSL runs was "if he just does the safe standard play and play super solid he will have a good chance at winning this." Can't really blame anyone else for getting no cred when even the hype casters can't find things remarkable about you. 2 base BCs, double armory thors. Artosis regularly says bbyong is one of the innovators of the terran race and is one of his favorite players to watch.
Bbyong has always been considered a super innovative terran, a lot of casters consider him "the funnest terran to watch" because you never know what he is going to pull, I remember Artosis saying Bbyong was insane because not only he played in weirdest ways but also because he won with it, he's faaaaar from being a standard player

Base base trade TvT, unique builds and variatios, creator of Gangnam style.
But you'd only know this if you, ya know watched his games.

I did watch his games, I saw all his attempts to mech as well (literally the only terran to attempt to mech those 2 seasons vs non T... since flash was out of GSL), other people obviously didn't.

Jesus. KT players really enjoying their vacation... and getting destroyed in this tournament! Glad Zest made it :X

I translated an interview Zest did with eSports Daily afterwards:
It was hard, but you succeeded in advancing to the Quarter Finals. How do you feel?. Honestly, today I felt confident enough to even beat Terran and thought I could finish in 1st place, but I was pushed around more than I expected so it seems I ended up losing. I wanted to show live that I can do well against Terran too, so I’m frustrated.
You were defeated by Terran once again, this doesn’t help your image of being weak against them… The original maps needed to be changed this season and the maps being used this time are good for Terran. At least on maps I’m capable at I can blame it on my ability, but it’s usually hard to win against Terran on those maps.
It looked like you were getting contained. If Terran contain you, you must block them from the absolute start. If you can’t do that you’ll continue to get pushed around, and I was unable to block the first one. I depended on watching him play against Won Lee-sak (PartinG) as my preparation, but after suffering the mines in Set 1 strangely the match didn’t turn out very well.
You’ve ended up against Zerg in the Quarter Final. I’m not sure, but I think at live matches I might have better results against Zerg than Terran, but I have similar confidence with both races. Still, I feel more comfortable facing Zerg live.
Unfortunately, you were eliminated in the World Championship Series Global Final. Since I was overseas for 3 weeks I wasn’t able to practice much during that time. Being defeated by Lee Seung-hyun (Life) really knocked my confidence, but since my Quarter Final opponent is Kim Min-chul (Soulkey) I have confidence.
It could have helped you make 2014 your year. My poor results in Seasons 2 and 3 and the Global Final are frustrating. I’ve been told I’ve done well this year but personally I feel my results don’t seem satisfactory. If I can finish the year by winning the Hot6ix Cup I think it will help me feel at least a little more satisfied.
Do you have any final words? I want to thank my team-mates and Nam Ki-woong (Hurricane) for helping me practice. It’s also Coach Kang Doh-gyung’s (H.O.T-Forever) birthday on Sunday, so I’d like to wish him a Happy Birthday.
There are other interviews with the rest of the Ro16 winners. Dunno which one to do next (if I do do another), so feel free to suggest one you want most~

oh man i'd love you if you could translate skyhigh's! Haven't read an interview with him in forever :<

Thank you taeaholic ^.^
Zest looks pissed in that pic, must have been having nightmares about Terran :/
|
Round of 8 winners will be:
MarineKing 3-0 Rain (just no contest as MarineKing is looking like the best terran in the world right now) Soulkey 3-1 Zest (I'd normally pick Zest, but he is in a nearly unrecoverable slump right now, especially against top Korean Zergs) sOs 3-2 Innovation (but this match can go either way) Skyhigh 3-0 Bbyong (Skyhigh kind of beat Flash in top form)

You know what I just realized? We should have done a LRSL Hot6ix Cup. We need to do more of those.

I'd like to at least get one more series done before we do any more LRSL stuff.
