Well darn... I was planning on just making a battle report as usual, but it turns out that I was kept away from my computer for a pretty long time to go watch a movie and do other stuff (darned family values!). For any of those interested, the movie I watched today was Kaze Tachinu, the newest of films by Gibli. I thought it was pretty touching and had awesome storytelling, although the voice acting was bad for the main character in my opinion.

As far as stuff related to the computer goes, today I tried to fix up some stuff with my drivers. The issue came to my attention when a beta of a new game wouldn't start up, and one of the suggestions was that I needed OpenGL or something like that for it to run. Now from what I understand, this is related to the my graphics driver.

Ever since I upgraded to windows 8 I think that my graphics driver hasn't been able to successfully update. ATI catalyst control center always pops up for me when i start up, but it never has worked correctly (idfk what it's even wanting me to do, whatever it is it doesn't work). I'm no expert on the internals of PCs, but I do know that something about my drivers isn't quite up to speed. I'm sure that if I really work at it for a bit I can find the solutions... I think I might do that for a while tonight.

Windows 8 is pretty terrible, so I am not surpised too be honest. WIndows 7 is pretty awesome. Also what is the movie's story about? I suppose I could google it lol

The story seems to be fiction with a bit of actual facts sprinkled around in. The setting is in Japan pre-WWII, mainly following the story line of the guy who creates the "zero" aircraft. Then you know, there's some love stuff on the side too.

Just a fun fact, all the sound effects were apparently made only using voices (noises from mouth) and software to tweak it. no idea why they'd do that.
