GA is a bad choice vs poke. It does not help you at all against heavy hits and you'll be low before the fights start. Either block the poke with banshees (like you mentioned) or use warmog for the regen - both are good choices imo. The kill factor of Atn seemed pretty low; during combat getting hit by random poke isn't punished as hard; if you have a 2nd life. 2nd life won't help you anything when the next spear one shots you right when coming up again. You don't want to have another teammate block the spear in a teamfight. IMO GA has the Zac/Aatrox effect. Too busy focusing on the respawn; you take a lot of unnecessary damage. especially something like nidalee spear that requires timing; rest of the Lemon pup team could wreck the rest of ATN. So you are hoping for the opponent to have bad mechanics and misplay a fight? I'm not a fan of that approach. With the other options you don't need that risk at all, because there is no chance for you to die in first place going into the fight with full hp. Watch gambit's game yesterday; aatrox was essentially that with his passive.
I think there was a lot other, more deciding stuff going on (especially positioningwise). Also Aatrox was really tanky with bulwark, dorans and merc tread (and giants belt later on), not an adc with only ga and no repositioning spell. Aatrox would have taken a nidalee spear without problem. Tabz would not.

Great job anticipating Froggen coming over the wall, and a successful Baron? What is this?

If you watch the fight, the positioning was so bad that they could only focus the really tanky aatrox. Jarvan was already dead before the fight began and TF died like 4 seconds later. There was little pressure on Genja. The positioning decided the fight, nothing else. When the passive triggered GMB had already baron buff, Kennen was running without hp and cooldowns. Jarvan dead. Twisted Fate dead. Only Zyra and Kog versus 4 Gambit champs. The situation is not comperable at all.

Jaysus, walk away for a few minutes and when I come back EG's picked up more than half a dozen kills - what happened?

MYM keep pushing out without keeping tabs on Froggen, who can basically murder Makler in one combo

Regardless of result, the Reddit circlejerk will be ludicrous.
