Without Quen spam ;p Numer 1 rule is: Dont get hit (roll, parry, quen, stun before attacking). I just disliked on Hard that I didnt need to use alchemy - hoping on Dark it's better. If you want the combat in Dark to be hard, DON'T build the Dark only sets. They are significantly better than anything else in the game, and make combat a lot easier. I played through the game on Dark, and as soon as i finished the first set things became a lot easier, and from what i read, apparently once you get those sets it is even easier then Hard.

I personally hate 99% of these bullshit indie games which just focus on one quirk but aren't actually games...charging me £5-7 for thrills that I used to be able to go and get from the local second hand shop for £2-3. No, just you. Cheapskate? Then just wait until they go on sale or buy a Humble Bundle for $0.01. Or you could make a small draw from your Big Mac budget...

Also, you don't have to buy stuff you don't find interesting. Variety is good. If you don't like something, don't buy it. There are a lot more games out there than anyone could play, so simply only buy those you like. I don't really understand what is meant by "shove gimmick games down our throats". Not every Indie game is good. But that is true for pretty much anything. If only 10% of the indie games are good ones or ones that you would like, simply don't buy the other ones.

Did any of you tried it ? Any feedback ? It has incredibly weird humor and a refreshing angle to the whole permadeath survival game. It's also the only survival game which doesn't make my gf hide under the blankets when she dies. (If you like the genre and some of their videos, go for it. It's a good game and the updates are frequent and content rich so far.)

I've play HnH and many others (was deeply disapointed by Salem though). The "horror" angle seems really well done in this one. Graphics look amazing and to work well with the game. But, for some reason, I always fear bugs and longevity when I purchase that kind of game (to many bad games I guess). Is it bug free ? Does it have a nice longevity / replayability ?

It's the most bug free beta I have ever played. The mix between permadeath but also getting to play other characters in the long run and some challenges that were added over the last couple of months (gl with your first winter) makes it playable for more than a couple of hours. Obviously there are people who can spend years playing Minecraft and others get tired after a couple of days, but what I'm saying is that it's easily worth it's price. Which, at that price, also isn't really hard. =P T_T ... Just realized the "two copies for 12 bucks" offer is gone. Oh well, it's easily 15-20+ hours depending on how much you like it. Edit: Also means it "was" the most bug free beta I ever played. I haven't played it for the last 2 months of so prior to release to not burn myself out before letting them add all the features but I doubt they changed the way they worked. Mark of the Ninja was similar, too.

I guess I am sold :p Thanks for the feedback man

Simplified, noobish, constant-head-shots-from-behind-cover action, it's basically Lara vs 1000 men who fall like butter. Takes ages for anything properly sci-fi-y to happen. No way would I spend money on it. I advise you check through videos or borrow it from a friend. It's well presented but the game actually feels kind of bollocks, way too arcade-y, doesn't have any of the atmosphere it promised and certainly doesn't evoke the spirit of the old games. It's more like Gears of Tomb Raider. Horribly linear and simple levels (although, I should note it TRIES to give the aspect of non-linearity, but in reality everything non-linear is just chasing ridiculous x/100 items...also there is a bizarre option to 'fast-travel' back to any level to get more pointless x/100 items). One of the best things about the original Tomb Raider was the difficulty of the puzzles and the seeming ability to get lost trying to solve things. This version is another one of those 'GO 15ft THAT WAY - CONGRATULATIONS, ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED, YOU WENT 15 FEET' games. After about 7 hours of playing I got bored and haven't picked it up in a month. Then again if those aspects I have described are your thing, while I feel deeply sorry for you, go ahead and get it now.

It entertained me for a while, but really the game was a mess. "Rpg" elements of the game were pretty much broken, there was no challenge to it you wonder if the people who made the game have never actually played a good game before. The story was also terrible, my friend started playing the game with me right at the very end and when we say the ending all he had to say was "are you kidding me?" which pretty much would sum up most of the story.
