The game itself is great, and personally I think it's the better of the two (sure, the story is "kind" of similar to Planescape: Torment...but it works and the characters are great), however it was released unfinished, sad as it is. Something about Obsidian being rushed by the publisher. The restoration mod basically includes all the stuff that were left unfinished, essentially letting you play the game the way it was supposed to be played. I think it fixes game difficulty towards the end (which gets stupidly easy), includes a world which gives closure to a couple of characters, fixes the ending, and some other plot holes and quests. | ||
