Forumite, Why should we lynch Z-Boson? Why do you want me to die? Make an effort to explain yourself.
I don´t know, stuff you´ve done. I´m not as sure on you as on Z-boson and BM though, and sometimes I get the feeling you are more likely town. I have 80 minutes left in the game, why do you want me to spend it on making a case on you?

This kind of posts only strengthens the need to vote for you, in my mind. Down to the wire, all you are doing is pointing as many fingers as you can, as aggressively as you can (in big red letters, hehe), with the bare minimum amount of evidence or effort. It seems desperate instead of simply defensive.
Why not try to clear your name and answer the accusations about yourself as best you can in an attempt to lift votes off you (no matter how futile, at this late hour)? Hopeless (the first person in the game to point a serious finger at you) has even given you this opportunity on a silver platter. Yet, all you continue to do is dodge and slip around, shouting at other people and being selective in your question answering and case-making.

You haven´t been reading the thread, have you? There are no concrete evidence against me, and the only accusations are based on meta or low activity. There is no way to respond to that!
You and Mementoss need to be shot tonight. Your two votes, one jumping on the wagon and one avoiding the wagon, are the two most incriminating responses to the current lynch, and that´s saying a lot.

When people started pointing fingers at me for lurking and being non-contributive, I made an effort to rectify that. Now, I may not be a model player of the game, but I did try. If you're trying to contribute more, well - shouting for vigilante hits and calling people scum (note: not just pointing out suspicious activity, jumping straight to the conclusion of scum) without a case or a reference to anything other than a single post - that just isn't proper contributing.
As for mementoss wagoning, I am just going to point out that your logic here could be a little flawed. While he is jumping on the bandwagon, he was swapped into the game quite recently and does have a lot of reading to catch up on. Voting is mandatory as you might recall. With that in mind, I am willing to give him this single vote as a grace period - if that excuse keeps coming up, I'll be forced to look at him using it as scum-cover.
You haven't - presumably because you have been trying to sneak under the radar. I will say no more on this matter unless something very convincing comes up.
There´s no way town will get their act together and divert this mislynch, so here´s my reads:
Scummiest of all scum, should have been lynched today: Z-Boson Bill Murray
Scum lurkers, should be shot tonight: Mementoss Gravan
Likely Scum, decide for yourselves: ShiaoPi grush57
Is scum because I get soo damn paranoid about town leaders: Toades
Old scumreads, might be town: Maverick Hopeless1der
I think I might have gotten a scumread on Hopelesswonder after his cases returned, after the first failure they felt like an obstinate scum, but town can tunnel too. Mav, I don´t know, I had a read on him earlier but I never did a real case. ShiaoPi seems to always be there, sneaking around but never pushing himself. He´s been an uncommited voter every single day. grush57 is a huge troll with a lot of oneliners. Watch this one. Toades, I get the same feeling from him as BM, he´s taken a backseat while talking a lot about veterans. Yes, he´s all over the place, but he leaves to others to push lynches. Also he´s the one who told me to ignore weak cases saying I was inactive and wishy-washy, then used that same argument to get me lynched today. Please, please, please kill Mementoss and Gravan tonight, if scum are lurking then those two are the ones.

Nonononono, Mementoss is focusing about unimportant things while he should do a simple thing, try and decide between three people. He might have a read on Mav, but that´s a problem for tomorrow, today he should take a stand for who among Bill Murray, Z-Boson and me who needs to die. Because he´s using catching up as the argument for sitting this one out, he´s scum, and you are scum twice for defending him.
The amount of people following the case blindly is highly annoying to me. People arent really making their own opinions but seem to be following the wagon way too much. We've already lost two active posters last night and we're about to lynch Forumite (who Im feeling more and more good about not voting on). Whats gonna be left after N3? Its gonna be Toad going all solo and as it looks now it seems he will be able to get any case he wants through. Granted, it might work if people spam him with night protection, but I dont like those odds.
Or if Toad would be mafia I bet he's having a pretty good time now. Hes completely untouched and people are seemingly following what hes saying.
Oh well, we can hope Forumite flips red, or at least 3rd party.
FYI--I still think Forumite is scum. However, as he posts more and more like this above, my read on him gets townier and townier. I don't share the opinion that Z-Boson or BM are scum yet, but I do believe they are worth watching.
My main scumreads right now are Gravan and MMToss.
Why? Because both came in at the eleventh hour and wagoned on Forumite late... plus their reads on Z-B or BM were woefully lacking for entering at such a late point in the debate.
IF they want to wagon forumite at this hour, town Gravan and town MMToss would at least put some thought into why they chose him over ZB and BM. But they didn't. That's the biggest scumtell of today--lurkers who try to look active but don't actually "show their work" with regards to their reads.
It's a bit late for a wagon so I will say this: town, please look into vigi-shooting one of these two tonight if Forumite flips green.

Currently you are looking the most scummy. If you do flip town I'd say the best bet for scum would be Z-Boson. You've voted for him but haven't put much of a reason for people to follow you.

First off, sorry for the Hapa misread. I placed too much stock on his XXIII meta and expected similarly brilliant (cheating) play from him. (kidding about the cheating Hapa, I love you man.)
Second, Forumite's neck is on the chopping block and all he's done is make weak reads and flip flop everywhere. Look at the above post. It smacks of an attempt to respond while giving excuses for his lack of legit scum-reads. Going through his filter, all I see is WIFOM and a few bad cases; plus his first few posts (before he asked Palmar about Mattchew) look like he was trying to WIFOM watcher/trackers into complete inaction on Mattchew.
On September 04 2012 09:12 Mattchew wrote: I am a nosy neighbor. Anyone else with this role should insta-claim as well.
The reason people policy lynch people like BM and Grush is because they get by into later in the game because they are unreadable. This is because they barely actually play the game and if you end up in lylo with one of them left, you've basically already lost. I completely understand anyone wanting to policy lynch them, but we should also not allow them to be off the hook for some sort of scum read during the day.
That being said, I remember thinking to myself that I don't hate BM's play in the last few games I have been in with him. I do not want to policy lynch today.
Why would you claim this? You eliminated yourself as a possible blue from scums list of townies, and it´s not like you doing this eliminates you as a scum suspect. If someone see you visiting a player who dies the we´re lynching you anyway.
Because there is no town benefit to me hiding this information. and for all everyone knows I could be a blue role trying to avoid being incorrectly tracked as well
if I get tracked to a dead person atleast there will be something to think about before mislynching me
Lying to town as a blue is a bad idea. If you fakeclaim nosy neighbor to fool scum, then you risk getting lynched by town. You are still going to draw a few trackers during the first few nights, just to make sure that you are really visiting people at random with no effect, so because of this you might actually be hurting town by distracting blues.
Without further ado,
## Unvote ## Vote Forumite
During this entire day cycle. Which is one more post that myself, up until the last hour or so. While it certainly is true that the bulk of my posting has been right before the vote, you have contributed less than I have. The only claim you have over me is that you stated your position of Forumite earlier, then lurked.
Following the BKE lynch, ZB's response was to point out how it was the veterans' fault because they wouldn't answer his question regarding whether or not there were likely to be multiple watchers. Keep in mind that Toad actually did address his question in this post. He also points out how he would have constantly repeated the question if he hadn't been forced to keep defending himself "unnecessarily". He points the finger at the remaining vets, says how townish he would have been had he been under less pressure to defend himself, and then martyrs himself by saying that he shouldn't have put up with the silly cases against him. All of this means absolutely nothing. His entire massive post seems like a waste of time to me, but it's clear that he's trying to turn it into townie points for himself.
Following the "vets are all suspicious now" paragraphs, he tells austinmcc to save his case against [him] for day 3, should [they] both live. He then elaborates on what he *would have thought* if austin's case *had come a little bit later.* Not only is he trying to completely stiffle a case being brought against him in order to pursue the illogical suspicions of all of the remaining vets, but, again, this entire section says nothing whatsoever. If this would have happened, then I would have found you scummy. Don't you think I could have found you scummy? But really, you're just thick.
Then there's his death post. Another post that I felt was unnecessary. He says that he thinks Hapa is town because Hapa thought he was town, and then points out how what Hapa said could just be a scumplay trying to gain townie points. I don't even know what we're supposed to have taken from that, but all it did for me was plant the idea of Hapa swindling town points out of our pockets using ZB's sterling reputation. It feels like he's subtly boosting his own towncred while calling Hapa's into question.
He then says that he didn't like Toad's good-bye post.
... Why are you writing a good-bye post if you don't like that someone else did it?
He follows it up by saying that if Forumite flips red, then Toad *might* be confirmed town. He also points out how very good at bussing Toad is. Again, this entire paragraph tells us nothing.
Finally, we get to the "Lurkers" section, where he points fingers at everyone else in the game. He also repeats the fact that the scum vigi hasn't used his shots yet. First of all, he seems too certain of there being a scum vigi. He mentions it repeatedly. On top of town not knowing if one exists, there's nothing we can gain from that reasoning. There's too much wifom involved. This is another case of ZB trying to follow a line of reasoning that doesn't help town (just like his irrational obsession with the number of watchers in the game) and only wastes time. On top of that, he calls for someone who hasn't even been a part of the game yet to be the top lynch candidate for D3. What were we supposed to discuss? How Lvdr didn't post and how I had to read 80 pages to get caught up? This part is a little OMGUS-y, but it's a ridiculous claim that can't be supported in any way. It casts dispersions on me when I haven't done anything. He was attempting to find scummy behaviour where there was none, and distract the town with it.
I apologize that this is appearing so late. I had to attend class and then ride the bus home. It takes forever <.<

You didn't really get the gist of my post, so I'll state it again.
What does scum have to do? Every vote cycle, whenever scum pushes a read early, they're either bussing or pushing a mislynch. One move is painful, the other move is risky and costs towncred. Hence scum want to wait until late in the vote cycle, hoping that one or two townies have already started a wagon on another townie, and then they will join the wagon in as inconspicuous a manner as possible. They essentially join the wagon without going through the townie steps of actually asking themselves why this person is scum--instead they join the wagon thinking whether this wagon will cost them towncred or not.
That is what I was calling you out for above. When you don't show your work with your reads late in the vote-cycle, and then commit based on those reads, you fit the scum profile I just listed. That's why I'm calling for a vig hit on you and MMToss.
I chose forumite over Z-Boson and Bill Murray because I am uncertain about them in general (as you chose to ignore). I also believe (also as you chose to ignore) that Forumite is scum because of the methods he is using as a 'defence', in addition to the reasons (such as flip-floppiness) presented in the strong cases posted here already.

I wouldn't call "I'm only slightly more scummy than you" a defense.
