Amazing day of matches overall, so happy we got to see Mvp vs MMA again. This GSL is really looking like the best yet, which is saying a lot considering how stacked the last few seasons have been. All the groups so far have been gruelling tests of endurance - its been awesome. High level play is welcomed.
I will say that for some reason or other both groups C and D looked very sloppy. I dont know what it was but every single game looked like it was won off carless mistakes like we were back in 2010 but with good maps.

I'm absolutely astonished Mana took a map off of him... Well that was some kind of weird 4-gate against triple CC, well done by Mana od course. TaeJa often time loses to things like that. SaSe killed him two times with similar things.
Well, that is the risk for that build. If the protoss does not punish it, it is basically a free win (see MMA vs Mana game).

I'm absolutely astonished Mana took a map off of him... It was a scouted 11/11 into 3 OC which Mana punished with a 4 gate. I liked Mana's decision to punish him but it was not astonishing. Yep, credit where credit is due - It was a really nice read by MaNa and it still takes cajones to pull that off when you're down 0-1 in a bo3 Im sure MaNa will come back with a vengence @ WCS Europe (Which will be sweet!)
I haven't been able to see the games, so my comment might be a bit inappropriate.
The GSL schedule could not be worse for me, I'd gladly stay up for Code S, but the times directly overlap with my school schedule.
If only the tickets weren't so expensive...

MC is down to Code A if I'm not wrong

I don't know about that. The games today were a bit better overall. But it wasn't like there were big mistakes made. Just that there were more 'fan' favorites' today that we just overlooked some of time.

Yes. I think the OP probably meant that IM has another good opportunity to win another GSL to add to their total.

;_; MMA... Oh well, grats Mvp, it was a tough group.
|
MaNa took a game off of TaeJa........that is more than I could ask at the moment!
Grats to Taeja & MVP!
|
Spoiled by tzain on facebook did Mana stand a chance?
|
Would have liked Mana to make it through, but MVP laying a beatdown on MMA will suffice.

If you had seen the game where he did it doesn't seem all that surprising.
Skilled as Taeja is, there are punishments for excessive greed in the TvP match up. Mana read the situation well and took advantage of it for himself.

If only the tickets weren't so expensive... $100 for the whole year was quite the steal, especially considering there was basically only a few weeks gaps this entire year there wasn't content being put out, that averages out to something like... 2 bucks a week or something. and people pay $10+ for premium coverage for just 1 weekend for other tourneys.

100 USD might seem like a steal if you're wealthy, but for me that's a month worth of groceries.
So I'm glad finals are usually on Saturdays, even if it means getting up 5 hours early.

best possible results. as far as future rounds of the tournament, anyway.

That's true of the first series, but Mvp completely destroyed him in the last series.

I shudder at the thought that this kind of TvT might be gone in HotS...
Nevertheless, amazing games - kind of sad for MMA it's always interesting how he always play bio-centric, feels to me he's a bit too stubborn.
Taeja is just insane, hope he gets into the finals and denies IM the victory for once!

yeah this group went exactly as i expected

So the MMA vs MVP games were close but MMA failed to win any? :/ Man...
