Look, when you spend time doing the exact same thing over and over and it has no effect, its useless.. Its only usefull because they are allready in the (bad)habbit of doing it, so if they "need to spam" to keep the motor going, then that is a bad habbit, only usefull because they are so used to doing it. And breaking the habbit would make them play worse as it would change the way they are used to playing the game(?) I don't understand what you mean about "Do you really think pros have such a high apm only because of apm ?" (edit: oh.. right.. if I think they spam to get a high apm? No... well.. maybe some? Do you? I really don't care.. but they could of course be doing something else with the time they are spamming.. something that could maybe change that future loss to a win? I dunno.. it does look silly to me thats for sure;) anyways...im talking to a wall here.. so I /quit

And it looks like a conscious choice in gamestyle - Do you think this is the "best" way to play sc then? To check check and double check everything not "trusting" what you "know"? But... no-one is agreeing with me. And I allready said that I could be wrong so you dont have to be all rude about it. So an apm over 250 is needed to compete at the top level? Whitch is how this whole debate started..

If you chug along at 100 apm for the game and suddenly in a pitched PvP battle where you are trying to drop + macro + storm dodge + storm + pick up reavers + flank + macro, you won't be able to be fast enough than if you had kept up your speed throughout.

Yeah, I find it hard to accelerate my APM suddenly during games. It's more of a gradual acceleration. So trying to keep up at least 100 APM is good for me.

Couldnt there just be a diffrent way to playing SC though? I peak pretty high(400-500) (for a rusty old player , in the middle of the game when alot of stuff is going on I speed up without any problem really. Maybe its just diffrent from person to person, that its easier for some to keep the pace going constantly, while others find it easier to "slow down" and speed up again? Diffrent rythm?

If not higher, hehe Ye, they are pretty fast.. ps.. actually i'd like to take something back, i dont peak at 400-500, it was just a few games.. more normal for me to peak around 250-300 as I did some checking

I mean, if he pushes a key once, then it's once isnt it. And, how does holding a key down be counted more than once? I don't get it. oh btw, if a game lags ... I know bw keeps all players informed and if anyone lags, the whole game is slowed down, my question is, the lagging client's order will be delayed to be executed since there is lag, will the game host's order also be delayed even if there isn't any lag (from him)?

Edit: lag increases apm because the game speed is decreasing i believe

If they stay at 45, then when they need to go 55, they can do it quickly without having to switch gear.
