Zerg had 4k gas at the GG, not an infestor, brood lord, or any kind of gas heavy unit in sight. They are probably around low-mid diamond on ladder.
The video didnt actuly show anything at all aside from some basics of the new units, and is no indication whatsoever of any balance, relative strengh of units, army composition viability, or anything really of note aside from "this is X unit, it does Y"
Pretty sure that was actually the point of the video.......

One thing about mines concerns me: if they are 75/25 (pretty expensive), they must be manually controlled, right?
Nothing worse than having 4 mines in a defensive position and losing them to 6 scouting lings because the AI latched on the first unit it saw.

I agree.. It looks really bad for Terran. The only thing for AA is marines, Thors, and vikings. They're pushing Terran towards Mech, but if my Warhounds don't have AA then I have to build Thors who's AA sucks. If I want a good "deathball" I have to get so many different types of units. Hellions, Warhounds, Siegetanks, Thors, and Vikings. My Siegetanks also get destroyed by Vipers, Marines are gonna be destroyed by Ultralisk Burrow Charge. Seems kind of dumb. I'd like to see how things are going to work out though, it'll be interesting.

not the point... it was ironic because Tanks still won't be made in HOTS, because bio still looks like a much more viable option. What we might see is bio+battle hellion, but tanks still suck vs anything that can jump around the map, like chargelots, blink stalkers and colossi

What did they do to the queen?! It looks horrible now...

The winter/snow terrain tileset is beautiful.

When beta is released, Swarm hosts will have a hot fix on the first patch due to a glitch. The recast time is like what 12-15 seconds in between releasing locusts? Guarantee if you unburrow them after the release the locusts and reburrow it will auto attack again with no wait time.
Test it at the event and see if that works now. Do you think their programmers are amateurs or what? That's a "bug" that's a) unlikely to happen and b) those things have quite a long burrow time and are visible when unburrowed so...
Actually I do when you consider the past status of the game from beta to release to now and the length of time it has taken to make the game to a so-called balanced state.
As for the burrow time, it doesnt take 12-15 seconds to unburrow and reburrow which is what the relapse time is to restock up for locusts.

excited a bit tbh
gonna quit league of legends and come back to sc for this!

looks like when zergs were infesting terrans - hydras got their hands on some stimpacks and enjoyed it :D
damn they are fast off creep now
looks interesting what was shown and I am looking forward to the beta
@ all people whining already...
I am quite sure there will be major balance/unit changes before, during and even after the beta anyway.

The new protoss units are decent, they seems like much fun. the terran units seems quite boring except for the mines, i like the zerg units especially the viper but i think the swarm host should be replacedby lurker as an upgrade from hydra.

Remember when they were going to add the tempest to deal with the mutalisk problem for protoss? Now the tempest has no splash damage because Protoss FIGURED OUT how to deal with it themselves. Honestly, Blizzard's approach to balance astounds me sometimes.

I would just ignore those. They aren't even worth your time.
I love how the Queen looks now, The bubbly effect on the swarm hosts and how smooth the viper goes around the map. Still not quite sure on the abduct grab. I feel like that for example the legs of a collosus should scrape over the ground.

Now the most exiting thing for LotV is to see what kind of rocks will be added. WoL got destructable rocks, HotS got collapsible rocks. I for one am looking forward to seeing what kind of rocks DB can come up with for the final expansion.

Why not add units that can be microed, blizzard? Doesn"t that make the game much more fun to watch + harder to play? A lot of your Terran brethren were complaining about how much you micro in WOL. Thought you guys, wanted not as micro intensive units. ...Though really not liking the" Auto-Targeting" ability on the Hound things. Please THINK before you write! Terrans complain that other races don't have to micro as hard as them. The SOLLUTION would be to make the other races more micro intensive, not to make terran not micro intensive. Again: please think before you write... Wow man calm down. You didn't even try out the game and you're here talking about how the units require little to no micro. You're probably the one that needs to think before writing something. The game isn't even in his Beta phase so please give them time to improve every aspect of it. It doesn't require much thinking to know that units like battle hellion and warhound are NOT micro units. Yeah it requires the same amount of thinking that a person needs to understand that this game is not ready so you shouldn't be bitching about something that is far from been complete, expecially when you didn't even try out the "incomplete" product. =/

Marines are the best G2A unit and Vikings are the best A2A unit (Corruptors need infestors)...I don't know what else you want.

totally wrong btw. you may notice the swar host turns blue and then its "charged" for another round. this charge happens regardless if you're burrowed or not. its constantly loading. it actually has nothign to do with the "burry" event
