Kind of feel bad for her to be honest.
From what I gather : She's can't play for long periods of time because she gets tired so she doesn't practice too much and practices pretty much only on ladder because her teammates don't have time for her; the only one that pretty much helps her is her BF. Doesn't sound like a winning scenario.
I wish her the best but I think it would be hard for anyone to succeed in such circumstances. She seems intelligent enough to take advantage of her beauty to get fans and stream to generate some revenue though.
I've never seen her play so I can't comment on her skill level. High masters in Korea is pretty much low level pro in general I think so that is definitely decent, even if top players don't reveal their strats on ladder.
Who knows, maybe the answers she gives are just misleading to how the situation truly is.

Who is Rainbow to Aphrodite?
Without Rainbow, there would be Aphrodite the female progamer. Everything I know, I learned from Rainbow. It was thanks to Rainbow that I was able to work hard and improve. Lately, I’m receiving help on stuff outside the game. Things like taking care of myself and controlling my mental state. He’s almost my personal coach. Lately, he told me to learn, not just his style, but others’ as well. He’s the hardest player to beat for me. I haven’t played TvT much at all.
wouldn't?

Good interview anyway. I wish she was more focused on competing with the guys rather than focusing on female only tournaments. If you really wanna promote females in eSports, what better way than beating the guys?
She's a female and she's definitely also a transgender. They didn't say it in an insulting way so why take it in an offensive way?

I hope she doesn't switch to toss and i'm glad she'll be streaming again soon. it would definitely be cool to see her break in to Code A also--- i'm sure when she gets to that point, the other players on the team will have to take time out from only practicing with each other to help her practice too
and i'm definitely curious to see whether or not she will be able to match up to Scarlett in their future meetings, i think with enough practice and team support (which based on this interview seems to be lacking as far as direct practice goes) she'll be able to do it

But did Scarlet have a surgery to change her gender? I hope I don't cause any derailing by this comment, nor am I saying it to offend anyone.

Did the interviewer have to refer to Scarlett as "the canadian transgender progamer" instead of Scarlett, the zerg player? Or formerly Eclypsia Scarlett? Or that one girl that beats all the other girls in female tournaments? Come on.

With that kind of determination, I wouldn't be surprised to see her make Code A soon!

At the moment, they are too busy to practise with me.
Why wouldn't the men in the team practice with their teammate that is also trying to get into code A? That's quite disgraceful. Well she doesn't live in the team house and she is not currently in position to help the team in team leagues. Also players have to spend as much time as possible practicing for their own stuff. that's not really a good excuse. NaDa still practiced with oGs when he lived outside the house. In foreign teams, players are scattered all over the world and still practice together. StarTale has been a pretty big promoter of picking up female players, but they don't put any effort into grooming that talent. So the startale players are supposed to sacrifice their own training to help a much less skilled player? These players don't practice with each other out of charity, they practice with each other because it provides mutual benefit. Bomber isn't gonna get anything by smashing Aphrodite 20 times in a row. Besides, if you look at who players thank after GSL matches, you'll find players play with people from other teams all the time, probably practicing more outside of team than inside of team. She can find plenty of like-skilled players on ladder and ask them for games if she needs practice partners. When you put someone on your team, they are a part of your team. The high skilled players bring the lower skilled players up. She does so much for StarTale's image. Recently, She spent a week in Taiwan doing public appearances for their sponsor, Zowie. The least they can do is practice with her. It's all take from StarTale and no give - they're not giving her practice, they're not sending her to events. There's a good chance she would've already been doing this work for Zowie from winning Divina.
The players do what they want, they're not the ones sending Aphrodite to do those things. If anyone, it's the coach not telling them to help her out. But doing so would be ridiculous. Why practice vs a lesser skilled player? It's just not the structure of the teams right now. If Aphrodite joins and/or wants or "has" to go do public appearances, that's between her and her contract to the team/coach not to the other players.

It felt like playing against a male progamer. She was that good. Her creep spread was out of control and she had her own style. I’ve always thought that I was the best female progamer but I’ve met a strong rival in Scarlett. I have to overtake her as soon as possible. Did anyone else find that question poorly phrased/in poor taste? I know by a lot of people standards Scarlett is not a female, but I this they loaded a perfectly good question with some bullshit. Calling people for what they are is not bullshit. Black people are black, obese people are obese, short people are short and transgenders are transgenders. Scarlett has made news as being the first known transgender to make it to pro SC2 scene, therefore it is relevant to point it out in the question. On the other hand, it would have made no sense to point it out that she's skinny, or has long hair, whatever.
In this case the prejudice lies on the listener.

Is she just below the ST members' skill that they dont practice with her?
either way, Aphrodite fighting!

I think it'd be pretty cool if she got to wear a StarTale uniform instead of a pink skirt and high heels for an official photo shoot.
It'd also be cool if she got to practice with her team...

She finds terran fun but considers changing race. I think it's because protoss units are pretty.

EDIT: Makes sense though because of switch. I'm honestly curious how good is Tossgirl. I wonder if she didn't do so well in BW because she felt so far behind (thus lack of motivation). Maybe the fresh start will give her great motivation to play. Is ToSsGirL the next Zerg Bonjwa (because she is definitely not playing Toss... or will she)? She played Terran in BW...
I'm quite aware of that.
That was a joke that she'd switch races from T to Z (but not Protoss).
Edit: Also it was a continuation of the rumors she switched to Zerg (back in summer 2011 where she was rumored to be going to an SC2 event to possibly play a show match).

either way, Aphrodite fighting! Yes, it would be nice for the ST players to play with her, but they don't play the game just for funsies. The game is their job, and they have to focus on their own play before they can help her with hers. People complain about Aphrodite promoting their sponsors, so the other players should practice with her, but if they practiced with her instead of with useful practice partners, they would perform at a lesser level and will disgrace their sponsors.
Everyone plays their own role, and Aphrodite's role is not yet at the level of an adequate practice partner. As long as she gives it her all though, she'll get there someday.

People tend to think of me as the best female player. Ohh, burn, Scarlett, burn. Glad she actually takes the game seriously.
