It's pretty upsetting. Aphrodite is probably the most deserving female player and has the most potential. It shows that girls are really going to have a tough time in SC2. They have to be self-made. I doubt she can be competitive with female players that are actively training, let alone the male ones at this point. I wouldn't expect her to even try really, she seems to be focusing on other things now (the interviews etc). She didn't do well in BW because she wasn't good enough to do well. She was like a perpetual female champion when the female leagues were still running, and when they stopped running those, pro teams signed her and a few other girls that were good there. She just stuck around for a long time.

Maybe the fresh start will give her great motivation to play. Is ToSsGirL the next Zerg Bonjwa (because she is definitely not playing Toss... or will she)? She played Terran in BW...

Well she doesn't live in the team house and she is not currently in position to help the team in team leagues. Also players have to spend as much time as possible practicing for their own stuff.

In foreign teams, players are scattered all over the world and still practice together. StarTale has been a pretty big promoter of picking up female players, but they don't put any effort into grooming that talent.

So the startale players are supposed to sacrifice their own training to help a much less skilled player? These players don't practice with each other out of charity, they practice with each other because it provides mutual benefit. Bomber isn't gonna get anything by smashing Aphrodite 20 times in a row. Besides, if you look at who players thank after GSL matches, you'll find players play with people from other teams all the time, probably practicing more outside of team than inside of team. She can find plenty of like-skilled players on ladder and ask them for games if she needs practice partners.

The high skilled players bring the lower skilled players up. She does so much for StarTale's image. Recently, She spent a week in Taiwan doing public appearances for their sponsor, Zowie. The least they can do is practice with her. It's all take from StarTale and no give - they're not giving her practice, they're not sending her to events. There's a good chance she would've already been doing this work for Zowie from winning Divina.

Maybe because, you know... they have two players in Code S semifinals (and they're busy helping them).

The interview was posted 5/9 (Korean time), so I'm guessing Squirtle and Parting were practicing hard and perhaps practicing with the other members. I know it's easy to read too much into her answers and make the argument that they're neglecting her, but also possible that they're not. There's not enough context to make a definite guess. You also have to take into account her own desire to practice and schedule games.
