The interview was posted 5/9 (Korean time), so I'm guessing Squirtle and Parting were practicing hard and perhaps practicing with the other members. I know it's easy to read too much into her answers and make the argument that they're neglecting her, but also possible that they're not. There's not enough context to make a definite guess. You also have to take into account her own desire to practice and schedule games. she's been on the team for months, since around November.

I think what she means to say is that the progamers are too focused on trying to practice for their Code A/S matches and then also working for Code A qualifers coming up in 2 weeks (ish).
It isn't as simple as "come practice against me," There are many factors, plus from what I know she doesn't live at or closeby to the teamhouse. So that makes it even harder to get practice games.
Anyways. I got the chance to Meet her and Rainbow at the last Code A qualifers. She is super friendly and her english is actually pretty good, she helped translate some of what I was trying to say to Rainbow. I will be cheering for her to get into Code A for sure. She derserves it more than most people.

Gayoung fighting~! Thanks for the translation

Still no comparison to Tossgirl, but she's definately one of the strongest female progamers right now.

I don´t like where this is going. Females have no disadvantage in esports unlike in physical sports. Whe should get rid of female-only events as soon as possible.

EDIT: Makes sense though because of switch. I'm honestly curious how good is Tossgirl. I wonder if she didn't do so well in BW because she felt so far behind (thus lack of motivation). Maybe the fresh start will give her great motivation to play. Is ToSsGirL the next Zerg Bonjwa (because she is definitely not playing Toss... or will she)? im kinda curious too. tossgirl's mechanics should be pretty good seeing as she played bw and all but her decision making was always lacking from what i saw from her in bw (eg, that game vs yellow where she loses two scvs to a drone cos she made her rax below the ramp, then proxyed a factory in the most obvious place possible(like right under an overlord))

Tossgirl is from Boxer's original generation of progamers so there's no reason to believe she has great mechanics at all.

Thank you for the translation storywriter!
Aphrodite seems pretty cool, I'll have to check out her stream when it's on.

As long as you don't open the chat, it's all good

my god... so attractive and talented... wish u luck aphrodite!

I absolutely loathe that they refer to Scarlett as transgendered in one of the questions. There's no need to point it out any more, she's female, just accept it and move on.
Good interview anyway. I wish she was more focused on competing with the guys rather than focusing on female only tournaments. If you really wanna promote females in eSports, what better way than beating the guys?

Yes, but if you would read more accurately, you would see that she says: "At the moment". So It's probaly because parting and squirtle were preparing for gsl. From this answer there is no way to speculate she didn't got any help from her team since november..

So pretty and talented at SC2, the world is full of wonders

Trying to qualify for code A isn't good enough?

Its not about addressing a physical disadvantage relating to sex (although I think that some studies have shown that specific mental tasks are performed by one or other of the sexes with greater proficiency) but addressing a cultural disadvantage relating to gender. The aim of a lot of female-only events is to encourage women to play competitive Starcraft, to get better and to be taken seriously. I am not entirely sure why you would be against this?
|
Tossgirl is practising all out Starcraft 2. Do you want to take her on sometime?
Of course. She’s the best female progamer from Starcraft 1 so I want to face her in Starcraft 2. I have confidence too. I think Tossgirl will be great in Starcraft 2. I was excited about Flash switching over.
WAS.
There is a new elephant in town, and she is beautiful.

Is this a theory or do you know this for a fact, I am genuinely curios?

Wow she's very cute.
I'm glad she's focused 100% on being good at the game for fame rather than trying to exploit her attractivness
GL to her

i feel like she should be doing kpop
