We are now streaming from a powerful desktop as opposed to my slow-ass laptop. We have an actual, not built-in webcam for beautiful caster faces. We have an actual, not built-in mic for beautiful caster voices. We are now on Ethernet 17mb/s down and .8 up New game-specific overlays are on the way (Gogo howlin!) We did about 4 hours of troubleshooting and have gotten to 0dropped frames several times on several settings and are now just narrowing down to what provides the best quality. We still have suits. We'll be going from 2:30 PDT Tomorrow (Sunday) for as long as we can have games going, so tune in, tell your friends to tune in, have your dog tune in. Hell, have the whole family tune in! Cheers! Here is the idea. 1) On Friday evening, login to your SC II client, and go to channel, say, "CTL Social Friday" 2) Find 3 other people in the channel, and split into 2 teams of 2. Ideally you will have a nice balance, eg Silver + Bronze vs Silver + Bronze. If this isn't your first week, then make an attempt to join with different people than you have previously. 3) Play your matches -- main singles (1v1 best of 3) -- doubles (2v2 best of 1) -- reverse singles (1v1 best of 1) Perhaps the singles can be played concurrently; or perhaps they can be consecutive, and non-players can obs. 4) Don't write the score down anywhere. You should be able to finish your sets in, uh, *mathmathmath* about 2 hrs (some of which is spent observing / getting beer / etc) I don't think it really matters if people higher than Gold join, as long as each individual match which starts up has roughly equally-skilled players. If there's odd numbers, can just make a 3v3 instead, or whatever people arrange. What do we think? | ||
