Carlsbad, Calif. – 2nd March, 2012 – Razer™, one of the world’s pioneering supporters of e-Sports, and Team MVP, Korean powerhouse e-Sports organization, will be joining forces to further and strengthen Korean pro-gaming and ensure further financial assistance for their players to attend international events. Hmmmmm?

I'm pretty sure most of Razer's sponsorships are peripheral only, but they sure as hell get their name out there. More than 80% of the listen teams actually do receive financial support in addition to peripherals. This is mostly meant for pro-gamers to be able to focus on their gaming and be able to travel to events to compete. Some of these teams receive quite substantial amounts that allow their gamers to play games full-time. Just wanted to clear up that misconception.

Glad Razer knows how to jump on the bandwagon. ;-) But now I'm curious, in what way do the players get to "...contribute heavily to the creation and development of new Razer peripherals." I wonder if there is a market for player-specific mice much the way there are player specific sneakers and cleats? [I definitely payed the extra $100.00 for my Beckham "Dragon" Cleats back in 06']

Subsequently we create prototypes and have them tested and go through multiple iterations to improve them in various aspect (that could be ergonomics, weight, button placement or others on mice, mic pickup range/noise filter, sound isolation, audio quality, comfort and others on headsets). We collect that feedback and improve the products accordingly to optimize them for gaming. You might even have seen some TL-Members with keyboard prototypes on their streams lately.

Was curious about this and just went on razer's website, and I'm getting a 404 for the slayers/boxer/mma pages. Did this partnership end recently? I didn't hear anything but perhaps someone has. Or does it have to do with EG and steelseries?
