This is sigle handedly the best anome out there Kentarou Miura is a Genius although crazy or in my terms sane he has portrayed everything you should need to know in life in his manga that of which is better than the bible! Also a phenominal artist a true one if anything.
I LOVE AND HATE ALL OF YOU GUYS! Especially love I hope that one day we meet in battle so we can slaughter one another in a glorious battle filled with carnage!

There are some censored bits though, rest assured the theatrical version is violent as hell though.

Im not sure I like the way they did that :/
The animations dont look really good.
They censored the gore ? LAME.
Nah, it's just for the trailer.. the movie isn't censored afaik.. Also, want to watch this badly but it's not available yet except for Japan. -_-
Having seen the anime waaaay back, probably 9-10 years ago, I finally decided to read the manga. And it's so fucking good. I'm only at chapter 19 at the moment, so I still have lots of reading to do I always knew the anime was very short compared to the manga, but really, it ended at what, chapter 12? and there are 300+ chapters? awesome.

I think you're confusing chapters with volumes. Berserk currently has 36 volumes and the anime covered until about volume 12-13, cutting some of the story out.
In any case, you're for a long and amazing read... Hell, I remember when I read all of the manga available in a few days, at a certain point I actually became a little depressed given how dark the story and some of it's undertones are at some points.

Yeah, probably. I just googled and started reading. Found one site that had all the chapters/volumes all mixed up, good thing I saw the anime, otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed it.

took me 1 week to read all of it, i couldnt stop^^
It was many many years ago. I think I was 16-17 at the time. I don't watch anime now, I only read a few mangas, Naruto, One Piece, Hajime no Ippo and I just picked up Berserk.
Quick question, will it get better again? it used to be so dark, depressing and despererate. + Show Spoiler +
Now it's so bright and shiny! a shitty witch with imba spells, magic items(seriously? gtfo) and they are skipping away as a group on an adventure. This is not something I'd expect from Berserk, Naruto maybe.
Please tell me this is just... a filler, please tell me they'll kill off everyone but Guts and Caska?

Don't worry I'm pretty sure everyone except Guts will die sooner or later and Guts will probably die in the end as well after he kills Griffith.
Only 7 pages for this glorious piece of art ;____;. Also Miura has said he wants a good end for Guts, that could mean many things...but I have a feeling even in the Berserk universe he might want guts to survive somehow with caska. I predict his current party will get wiped out though like the previous. Miura doesn't want people thinking he's gone soft. People have to remember this is setting up perfectly to end up like the band of the hawk.

elf king? or whatever
The manga is still good, but it's not nearly as good as it used to be, imo.
