I finally got around to watching the new Spica MV and also watched them on MuCore (thanks nanashin!) Definitely agree with someone from earlier in this thread saying they were reminded of Brown Eyed Girls. I'll second that while none of them are drop dead gorgeous, it sounds like they all have some vocal talent, and that's a welcome diversion from a lot of other groups currently.

The Korean market is step 1. They aren't (all) making groups to try and make money in Korea, they are making groups in Korea and then hoping to make money elsewhere. T-ara-, After School, SNSD, Miss A, Orange Caramel, Kara etc etc are all aiming songs at other Asian countries, and there are various concerts by labels and/or channels aimed at foreign countries in Asia and elsewhere.
There are lots of groups because people want to make lots of money, which doesn't mean there's lots of money in SK, but that there is lots of money in general, they just usually need to get a break in SK and hope they attract fans from abroad as well.
hihi, i'm looking for a song i've heard a year ago or so. i don't know much about this genre, but i remember this video + song was really good. it was a boy band, and in the video they were all chasing one girl. one guy was a DJ, one guy was portraited as someone who took school really seriously, one was a basketball player while the last one rode a motorcycle (lol, all i remember, i actually think that's all though). what happens in the video is that they all chase her, one way or another, and in the end they start fighting over her in the gym (?).
could be BIGBANG or 2AM, those were the only names i could recall when googling "korean boy bands". not too sure though.
would be appreciated if someone could link me the song! thanks!
