Also, I'd really like to know if there are any good patches for the game that you guys have tried and think are worth it. So far I am playing on the vanilla version of Skyrim (only fixed Esbern's voice) and the game is awesome, but it has so many bugs. So, I read around and people are saying that the patches they've tried (1.2 was one i think) have fixed some bugs but have caused a lot of new ones. Do you guys know what is the newest patch and is it worth trying?
tried pickpocketing poison in his pocket? (need the perk though, requires 3 perks in total and 40 pickpocketing iirc)

I want to basically play a style where I jump around to avoid damage constantly, using a lot of more supporting magic to my advantage and my blade. So I'll use said supporting magic, put it down, and use my blade solo to block and attack and shit. I know it's not the most efficient build, but it seems fun as fuck.
Also, can you block with your sword with a spell up? =/
Also, how the hell do I into enchanting? I'm so lost on that entire subject. This is right up my alley, and basically what I've done is put skills into light armor, 1 handed, restoration, smithing, enchanting, and left overs into destro. The idea for me is that you make incredibly powerful enchanted armor and weapons and use them to overpower enemies while maintaining a high level of mobility. Enchanting works like this: In order to get a new enchantment, you need to disenchant an already enchanted item (hit disenchant), then you can use that enchantment. The more weapons you disenchant of various types, the more enchantments you get. Basically to enchant something, you use the weapon you want, then you choose one of your enchantments, then use a soul gem. The bigger the soul gem, the stronger the effect. For charged weapons, a bigger soul gem equals more charges. Also, it says Breton are 25% resistant to magic. Does that mean they take 25% less damage from all types? Frost, Fire, Shock? It's not the soul gem, but the charge of the soul gem. Basically the higher level of soul you have (grand), the better effect you'll get.
So let's say I want to put some lifesteal enchant on my sword. I disenchant some weapon with lifesteal on it, get the mats + a big soul gem, and when I use that on my sword, it enchants it?
Neat.
Also, do light armor wearers get any neat gear other than crafted armor? I mean, you get the Nightengale and Dark Brotherhood gear - -but that's more of for stealth characters which I don't intend to really do. I guess I just need to bump up to Glass armor ASAP and start working on that.
But if I go that route, that means I won't be able to get Daedric and build a Daedric Sword. GWRWRWRARFWERSDFWERWR

Sheild/destro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the awesome so far… as for those who say shields can not be used for a main wep they are wrong!!!!!!! if one consumes VEGETABLE SOUP ( can be crafted at any cooking station thing) with the foods; potato, tomato, leak, and cabbage they will regenerate 1 stamina every second for 720 secs!! this allows for constant shield bash/power bash, seeing as it only takes one stamina to execute either . Shield bash dmg scales with armor rating of your shield, along with the perks “shield bash” and “deadly bash” and juggernaut under the heavy armor tree. Your shield becomes a force to be feared. Now for the off hand, make it what makes you happy as for me i like to purge a path for the almighty stendarr with my righteous flames!!!!!!! if ya have any questions reply to this id really like to know what others think about shield as your main wep

Um...honestly there aren't that many differences between light and heavy armor. Light armor is lower damage rating but let's you move faster, and heavy armor vice versa (I think that doesn't even apply if you get the heavy armor perk for conditioning). I'm trying to think of any light armor that's legendary and one of the Daedric (or however you spell it) quests gives you a piece of armor that has a super high rating plus it's light.
Light armor at the very last perk (100) is a bit different than heavy in that it let's you evade attacks which is really useful for mages/stealth. It's a definite necessity in that circumstance.
Heavy armor at the last perk gives damage reflect which is pretty useful vs. bosses.
But the rest like you said is really generally for stealth and the like (less likely to get detected with light armor, etc.)
Edit: Oh, and to answer your question about enchanting, yes spot on.

it only comes to haunt you when you thought that you could go pure destruction and didnt bother using your other magic schools.

This thread hasn't been bumped for a while. I am about to make a new character using the sneaky illusion/conjure build because it sounds like a very fun and rewarding style to play into the late game, also the pure nord 2h warrior also looks fun to play (my first character was a dark elf thief/assassin).

1. Just check stores that sell accessories. They're bound to pop up sooner or later. You can also find them in chests.
2. There are none. Backstab damage wasn't meant to be disenchanted from the equips they're available on (Shrouded/Ancient Shrouded Gloves and Cicero's Gloves, although Cicero's are one handed sneak damage, not backstab). There is a mod floating around on Nexus somewhere which allows you to use it though.

Does the game give you a second chance to remake you character?

Dawnguard, the new DLC, gives you a NPC who can change your face, but nothing yet on race or physique
