There's a computer build resource thread in the tech support forums for these kinds of requests: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=137554
There is no point in suggesting a configuration when you aren't building for another three months since Sandybridge-E and Bulldozer are both being released within three months and prices aren't static either. You already have a decent idea of what you're going to be getting so why not just read up on this yourself? You're basically looking at the following:
core i7 2600k Crucial M4 128gb P67 or Z68 motherboard ~500w power supply (Seasonic S12II, XFX Core Edition Pro, Antec High Current Gamer, Antec Neo Eco, Antec Earthwatts) GTX 560 Ti or Radeon HD6950

First of all, I second SkyR's recommendation that you visit the Computer Build Resource Thread. Guys like SkyR and Myrmidon are incredibly helpful in there. It also makes a lot of sense to wait for the new Intel and AMD architectures to be released (as SkyR mentioned), both to see what their prices are and to see what happens to the prices of the previous CPU generations.
If you're on a strict budget and want the most performance you can buy, I would recommend trying to reuse your current case and put that money towards better hardware. However, If you are considering buying a new case, I love and can highly recommend my Lancool PC-K62. It was a breeze to work with, it's not terribly expensive, and it looks pretty sexy imo. + Show Spoiler + And there is also the similar but more badass Lancool PC-K63
Edit: fixed pic.

I recommend fractal design for case (Silent case but still spacious)
It goes for $145 in my country, don't think you can get it in USA.
Go for the Z68, a lot of P67s are discontinued.
