EPTSo I was lurking my twitter when a tweet showed and gave a link to this article:
Abu Dhabi wants to became the video gaming hub of the gulf
Now given the fact that this is an opinion article it is still big news (to me at least). Of course anyone on this forum has this distant dream of getting involved in esports in one form or another.
In Europe or North America you can get into it much easier than in the Middle-East I think. There are more open markets and frankly, more people play games there.
So when I read this article the first thing I thought was, MLG IPL3 GSL that type of thing. But instead of being in Anaheim or Atlantic City or Seoul, it will be in Abu Dhabi convention center. I want to make something like that happen. Be a part of it, part of the team that makes it happen. Of course I need the support of big bucks and like minded individuals that can make sure that it will be a success. I am sure there people on TL who have the same goal of getting gaming to Middle-East.
I know that there is no coherence in this post, this shows how fucking excited I am about that article and that I just really want to write something about it.
Am I overreacting? What should I do from here? Stream and link the hell out of it to those companies? Tweet? My brain is sending millions of signals all over trying to think of something to do to pull that hook. Should I sleep it off? GAH, someone say something.
