I believe the larger companies had qualifiers (we at Microsoft held an internal tournament), whereas some of the smaller companies just took whoever they had who plays. | ||

People who are tuning in for specific parts of the event (and to be realistic, people who I have told to tune in because they are interested in watching specifically me or specifically Microsoft play are not going to be interested in watching the 3rd/4th place match). And it's going to be stupid if I tell them 8 PM, at which point they dutifully tune in, only to discover that our match is halfway done already or something. If you announce a schedule, you need to stick to it (I guess you can start later, although that's inclined to piss people off too, but at least then you don't actually cause people to miss things). I don't know if you're the same guy who posted this on the AHGL teams-group or not, so maybe my message is duplicated. | ||
