Estiah is a PVP focused browser based (mmo)RPG. It features traditional RPG classes but has a combat system with a rather impressive amount of depth. Each class has access to specific items/weapons/armors/spells and such, and you built a "deck" out of them ala Magic: The Gathering. You select one of your decks before combat and use those abilities as the fight progresses.
A majority of the game world is open PVP and you can be attacked almost anywhere while playing. Guilds can control territory and towns which can then be contested and sieged by other guilds. It also features an arena system with ranking and matchmaking (1v1,2v2,3v3), as well as Guild vs Guild skirmishes.
Doing actions costs "Action Points" and you get more every few hours so it's not a game that you can play all day, but it's still a fun 15-30 minute time waster if you're bored at work. It would be nice to get a TL guild running to gank people or whatever.
Registration is free and you can do it through the website link at the top. If you're willing to use me as a referral my character name is "Aurra". I get a few action points to play a bit longer so I can waste more of my life away to this game. Or you could register through this link:

How would 2v2 and 3v3 work in a browser based game? Is it turn-based?
|
Yeah it's turn based, each player uses one item/ability/card/whatever at a time and it alternates between all the players.
|
Registered as DRAWINGTHIN and used you as my referrer, would be nice to set up a guild if we get enough people in to this.
|
When you said PvP I was thinking Protoss vs Protoss. haha.
|
Setting up a guild requires one player to be level 20 and 5,000 gold. The gold is no problem but level 20 seems like it could take awhile.

registered, and referred you =)

Already trying this game out!
Character: Bobr, lvl 6.
|
You might create the guild for us since you're a bit ahead of the rest of us. Do you know how long it takes to hit level 20?
|
alright just made an acct ill try it out.
Alias: inept
|
so what do we do with the charms that become useless to us? I can't seem to find a way to sell em, so i guess we just store them away?
|
Just archive them. You can only sell items, not charms.
I found out today that if you do the first dungeon 5 times through you get a skill completition and 500 gold which is nice when you're just starting out.
10 people have signed up under me so far so it seems like we could potentially get a decent pvp guild running once one of us hits that level.

Having a lot of fun so far but its really annoying how slowly you get action points, just as you start to get in to the dungeon thing and feel like you're ready to slay some beasts you notice that you have ran out of action points. T-T
Surprised to see that there hasn't been more activity in this thread btw., games like this have been super popular @ tl before.
edit: made a second character "Wemadefox", cool they don't mind if you make multiple accounts.
|
I feel kinda stupid, I wasted like 45 action points trying to defeat bosses in River's Edge, forgot it said Level 5, and I was just level 4 =(
This is a game of patience man...waiting on these action points lol.
|
I've registered with you as my referrer, let's see how this game turns out.
|
I'm out of stuff to do today I think. D: Not much else I can do after I clear out the sewer because the other dungeons or w/e are too hard. Guess I'll have to gather.
Edit: Awww shit, just found the arena.

I'm signed up under the name "Idle". Can anyone explain to me how leveling works?
|
what is it with these damned action point based games. They're a dime a dozen and none of them are any fun. Too many travian memories to ever play one of these competitively.
|
Yipes, not much action going on here! I've found the game to be quite entertaining so far, and I can see that it gets quite deep as I'll progress. I've made 2 characters, "ThatGuy" (Fighter->Mercenary->Berserker) and "Fyodor" (Scout->Rogue->Assassin). Game unfortunately doesn't grant enough Action Points at a fast enough rate, IMO.

Sure! Leveling is based on filling the "Character Growth" bar on the main character page, which is essentially raising those 4 core stats (Power, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence). Whenever you raise one or more of those stats, your growth bar is adjusted accordingly based on how many points you went up. You can raise those stats by working in jobs, taking an academy course, or working on the tons of character skills like Sword, Frost, Armor, etc. You can find all the skills and benefits listed in their wiki.
Bear in mind that it's actually more beneficial to level slowly so you have more time to master as many skills as you can, and some skills are more difficult to master at later levels (including Courage and Heroism), so feel free to take your time if you wish!
EDIT: @Phantom: You can complete any dungeon at any level, the number you see listed is just what their recommendation is. I was able to complete River's Edge at level 2 because I planned my deck accordingly.
