In a day you had two wins to complete a reversal win.
- It feels like it’s been such a long time since I’ve had two wins in a day. During the Winner’s League I didn’t do so well, but just like I did in the 1st and 2nd round, in the future I want to perform well and have 2 wins in a day many more times.
In the 3rd set you attempted a very bold proxy barrack – were you certain about the build your opponent would be using?
- I anticipated that Really hyung would go 14 cc. Truthfully I had more management prepared but the game ended with my early pressure. Next time I want to show an even better game.
How does it feel to win 3~4 minutes into a game?
- There’s a slight empty feeling, but there’s also the satisfaction of knowing I won because I prepared a good build.
Because your victory in the 3rd set felt a bit empty, you must have welcomed the Ace match.
- From the team’s perspective it’s not good to win with personal motives. However, because I gained an opportunity to win 2 victories in a day, I thought to myself I should work even harder.
Did you like how your match against Upmagic played out?
- I just matched my play against my opponent’s and I think it worked out well. After seeing his 1 factory 1 starport, I made 2 starports. I think that’s why I was able to win.
In order to catch up to the top leaders in All Time wins, more 2 win opportunities like today should arrive.
- It’s true in my point of view. However it’s not something I can control, and right now it’s important to just win games one at a time. I believe if I just play this way I will be able to catch up naturally.
It was the first match for Hite Sparkyz (on OGN).
- It doesn’t feel like that much has changed. However, I do want to perform better to raise my sponsor’s name. Because it was our first time playing as Hite, I wanted to play even better.
You seem very tired.
- I woke up too early today (laughs). I wanted to sleep more but it rained so I couldn’t sleep well. So I’m kind of tired right now. I will work on increasing my stamina so that I will be able to show good performances in both the proleague and individual leagues.
Last words you want to say?
- Cloud Hyung, Casy Hyung, Shine Hyung, Samsung Khan’s Miracle hyung, Hwaseung’s Lomo, and my teammate Justin hyung as well as amateur player LeeGyuChan helped me a lot during practice. It’s because of these players I was able to win.

- 하루 2승을 기록하며 역전승을 이끌었는데
▲ 정말 오랜만에 하루 2승을 한 것 같다. 위너스 리그 때 성적이 좋지 않았는데 1, 2라운드처럼 앞으로 하루 2승도 많이 하고 싶은 마음이다.
- 3세트에서 과감한 전진 배럭을 시도했는데, 상대 빌드에 대한 확신이 있었나
▲ (박)상우 형이 생더블류 빌드를 쓸 것이라는 예상을 했다. 사실 뒤에 운영이 더 있었는데 초반 압박에 경기가 끝났다. 다음에는 더 좋은 경기를 보여드리고 싶다.
- 3~4분 만에 경기에서 승리를 거두면 느낌이 어떤가
▲ 약간 허무한 감도 있고, 빌드를 잘 준비해서 이겼기 때문에 스스로 뿌듯하기도 하다.
- 약간 허무한 감을 느낀 3세트 승리 이후 에이스결정전은 반가웠을 것 같기도 한데
▲ 팀 입장에서는 에결을 가지 않고 이기는 것이 좋다. 하지만 하루에 2승을 할 수 있는 기회가 생겼다고 생각하면서 더욱 열심히 했다.
- 신희승전 경기 내용은 마음에 드는지
▲ 상대 운영에 맞춰서 플레이를 했는데 잘 먹혀들었다. 1팩토리 1스타포트를 보고 2스타포트를 올렸다. 그래서 이길 수 있었다고 생각한다.
- 다승 선두권 선수들을 따라잡기 위해서는 하루 2승 기회가 많이 와야 할 것 같은데
▲ 내 입장에서는 그렇다. 그러나 마음대로 되는 것도 아니고, 일단 한 경기씩 이기는 것이 중요하다. 그러다보면 따라잡을 수 있을 것 같다.
- 하이트 스파키즈의 첫 경기였는데
▲ 그렇게 많은 것이 바뀐 것 같지는 않다. 하지만 스스로 더 잘해서 스폰서의 이름을 더 알리고 싶은 마음이다. 하이트 이름으로 첫 출전한 경기였기 때문에 더욱 이기고 싶은 마음이었다.
- 상당히 피곤해보이는데
▲ 아침에 너무 일찍 일어났다(웃음). 더 자려고 했는데 비가 와서 잠을 잘 자지 못했다. 그래서 지금 조금 피곤한 상태다. 체력관리에 더욱 힘써서 프로리그 및 개인리그에서 좋은 모습을 보여드리겠다.
- 마지막으로 하고 싶은 말이 있다면
▲ 연습을 도와준 (차)재욱이 형, (한)동욱이 형, (안)상원이 형, 삼성전자 박동수 형, 화승 손주흥, 우리 팀 (원)종서 형, 아마추어 연습생 이규찬이 연습을 도와줬다. 이들이 연습을 도와줬기 때문에 이길 수 있었다.

With your victory in the 4th set, you swung the match around for a chance to win.
- Truthfully if it had been any other terran I wouldn’t have been nervous, but because it was Upmagic, prior to the game I thought a lot and was nervous. But surprisingly, because he used the strategy I had been anticipating I was able to win easily.
It was probably easy to prepare to play against terran on Battle Royal.
- Whatever strategy terran comes up with, I can deal with it. During practice, I won almost all the games as well. However, because my opponent was Upmagic I prepared even harder, and was not satisfied with the practice itself. But unexpectedly, he played right into my plans.
On Battle Royal, more and more terran are playing.
- It’s probably because the team decided terran would be a good choice. However, for terran to come out on Battle Royal is a bit rash.
Before the entries were revealed you were probably expected to play a mirror match.
- Although I was expecting to play zerg, I anticipated playing Upmagic to a certain level as well. It’s something the coaching staff and I considered during the entry meeting too.
You’re on a 4 win streak against Upmagic – is he a natural enemy now?
- I don’t believe it’s to that extent yet. In order for him to become my natural enemy the gap needs to widen more. I’d have to win about 3~4 more times but because Upmagic is a good player, that won’t be an easy feat. Whenever I played Upmagic, I think I was always lucky that he used the strategy I had been anticipating.
It’s Hite Sparkyz first match (in OGN).
- It feels very different. Today was our first game as Hite Sparkyz and it was different that we weren’t able to win ‘coolly’ 3:0. However, we still ‘coolly’ won through a reversal win so I’m happy. In the future I will work hard to show cool performances to coolly win.
Last words you want to say?
- I want to thank my terran teammates Justin, go.go, and Desire for helping me practice. Samsung Khan’s firebathero, Miracle, KTF’s Flash, Ace’s ClouD al helped me so I want to extend my thank you to them as well.

- 4세트에서 승리를 거두며 승부를 원점으로 돌렸는데
▲ 사실 다른 테란이었으면 긴장하지 않았을텐데 상대가 신희승 선수라서 경기 전에 생각도 많았고, 긴장도 했다. 그런데 상대가 의외로 내가 예상했던 전략을 사용했기 때문에 손쉽게 에결을 이끌 수 있었다.
- 배틀로얄에서 테란전은 준비하기가 쉬웠을 것 같은데
▲ 테란이 어떤 전략을 하든지 모두 대처할 수는 있다. 연습 때도 거의 다 이겼다. 그래도 상대가 신희승 선수였기 때문에 더 열심히했고, 연습에 만족하지 않았다. 하지만 상대가 의외로 내가 생각했던 범위 내에서 움직였다.
- 배틀로얄에 테란들의 출전이 많아지고 있는데
▲ 팀 내에서 테란이 괜찮다는 평가를 내렸기 때문에 나오는 것 같다. 하지만 배틀로얄에 테란이 나오는 것은 객기다.
- 엔트리 발표 전까지는 저저전을 예상하고 있었을 것 같다
▲ 거의 저그전을 생각했지만, 신희승 선수의 출전도 어느정도 예상했다. 코칭스태프와 엔트리 회외를 할 때도 고려했던 부분이었다.
- 신희승전 4연승을 기록하고 있는데, 천적으로 자리 잡는 것인가
▲ 아직 그 정도는 아니라고 생각한다. 천적이 되려면 격차를 더 벌려야 한다. 한 3~4번은 더 이겨야 할 것 같은데, 신희승 선수가 너무 잘하셔서 천적이 되기는 쉽지 않을 것 같다. 항상 신희승 선수와 경기를 하면 운이 좋게 내가 예상했던 범위 내의 전략을 사용하셨던 것 같다.
- 하이트 스파키즈의 첫 경기인데
▲ 느낌이 많이 다르다. 오늘 하이트 스파키즈로 첫 경기를 했는데 '쿨하게' 3:0으로 이기지 못해 다르다. 그래도 더 '쿨하게' 역전승을 했기 때문에 기쁘다. 앞으로도 쿨한 경기력으로 쿨하게 이길 수 있도록 노력하겠다.
- 마지막으로 하고 싶은 말이 있다면
▲ 연습을 도와준 우리 팀 테란 원종서, 김창희, 국정근에게 고맙다는 말을 하고 싶다. 삼성전자 이성은, 박동수 선수 KTF 이영호 선수, 공군 차재욱 선수 등 연습을 도와준 선수들에게 고맙다는 말을 하고 싶다.
