A lot of people have been wondering what the hell happened to me since my casting in WCG Italy and if i would continue to cast for starcraft. In between that time i have been very busy emailing other esports organizations and attempting to get to more Starcraft coverage at other events. Originally i was supposed to be sent to WWI in Korea but there were some mistakes made by GGL and they did not receive the funding in time to send me down there. Imaginably, i was very sad i would not get to cast for you all.
However, i have managed to get in touch with Gameplay HD (http://www.gameplayhd.com/) and i am currently writing commentary scripts for them so that we can have some English analysis of the WWI games. They should be done around august. Unfortunately they already have a commentator lined up and i wont be the one actually speaking, instead he'll be reading from the script i wrote for him. What's great is we will have more English coverage out there!
I have been training two new broadcasters for Starcraft. They are both very experienced Esports broadcasters. One from EsportsTV (http://www.esportstv.com/newsite/) and another from GGL (http://www.esportstv.com/newsite/). They are both learning quickly and i am looking forward to casting some events with them for you all.
I am going to Blizzcon in a few weeks and there will be English coverage for everyone who wants it. I also plan on stealing a few of the koreans and international players and interviewing them. So please tune in for that :D
Finally, i will be going to korea on august 7th to broadcast for the Seoul Esports Festival. This is a huge event with almost ever progamer attending. The stipulation for me going was that i would have to cast Warcraft 3 as well. While i did get top 10 on the War3 ladder shortly after the games release i do not consider myself by any means an acomplished or knowledgeable War3 player, since war3 players are 10x better now. Because of this i probably be doing lead casting rather than color casting. In other words i'll cover basic, generic stuff while i have someone else do more in depth analysis.
I originally vowed to only cast Starcraft for my carrier as a Starcraft caster. I actually turned down a free trip to Germany to cast a war3 tournament because i told them i wouldn't cast an event that didn't host starcraft. However i would HAVE to cast war3 at this event or they said i couldn't go. So i decided i would take them up on it. I also have every intention of doing the best god damn war3 casting you've ever heard in your whole life.
I would also publicly like to ask Klazart to do a free cast with me sometime soon. Day and me still want to co cast together but it's been quite difficult for us to meet up at the same time (he lives in California and i live in Colorado). I also want to encourage more Starcraft casters to get on the scene, i have been very impressed with the casts I've heard on tl.net so far and i want more of them <3
