you should join up on the ventrilo cast server and co cast some games with klaz, like the OSL final 21st. Cant wait to hear more from you tastless. gl ~~ looking forward to upcoming casts

Hey guys, it's Smeagol from iTG.

Some of you may know me from my Counter-Strike commentary I have done with iTG/GGL and TsN before that. For those of you that don't know, I have been commentating for CS 1.6 and CS:S since my first major event in 2004, and I've attended many major tournaments since then as the lead commentator for Counter-Strike. I've travelled to Seoul 5 times for e-sports related trips. I've seen pro starcraft matches in person, and was even mentored by Jun il-Hoon who many consider to be the greatest in the world of Korean Starcraft commentary. I've even lived in Seoul for a period of 8 weeks for the World e-Sports Games which was a tournament that ran both WC3 and CS tournaments I've also attended the WCG grand finals with Nick last year, and really got a chance to see him in action (both commentating AND drinking). Right now I wanted to let you all know that I'll be working with Nick on a project comming up in August, the Seoul e-Sports Festival (a.k.a. e-Stars/a.k.a. e-Stars Seoul). Nick and I have been called upon to commentate the pro-starcraft and pro-warcraft 3 tournaments for this upcomming event. I have been beginning work with Nick on Starcraft commentary and although my background is in FPS games, I wanted you all to know that before I even knew what Half Life was, I was playing Starcraft. I look forward to this great opportunity to learn from someone as talented and knolwedgable as Nick, but I also look forward to be able to be the voice of Starcraft for all of you english-speakers that don't necessarily always have access to english-content for professional starcraft tournaments. I'm not listing all of my accomplishments above to wave my dick in your faces, only to let you know that I am someone who has experienced the progaming scene at its best in Korea, and the opportunity to commentate for you is an honor. I want to bring some of the dynamics and excitement that I try to bring with my FPS commentary to the RTS stage in the form of one of my most favorite games, Starcraft. So please, I may not be the most expert commentator to begin with, so don't be too hard on me, but I want you all to know that I love this game, and will do my best for the community.

Excellent. While it's unfortunate Klaz won't be able to cast with Tasteless as he has retired from casting, at least for quite a while, it's nice to know we have Tasteless back to fill the void. I'm just wondering about the availability of the english casts from the games in Korea. Hopefully there will be a stream with it, although that seems somewhat unlikely..

Hi - I highly suggest that you prepare questions for your interview beforehand. (Just in case you aren't!)

I once watched some westerner interview a Korean pro, but it was quite unstructured and not smooth; the interviewer even mentioned he was thinking up questions of the spot. I think this wastes a bit of the interviewee's time and is disrespectful of the person's limited time at such an event.
