This is a scumslip. Artanis realizes that purging the land of mafia is necessary, but wishes that he didn't have to. He is mafia and doesn't want to hurt his mafia brethren. If Artanis were truly peace-loving then he would be more than happy to rid the land of evil forces.

I will say its actually interesting that Artanis felt the need to compromise his views his views in the slightest... Ive played voice games with him recently were he claimed jester as town in a jesterless setup.... and held his ground the whole game XD. Even though his switching up a rather trollish opinion in a rather trollish way, the fact that hes switching it at all is an unnerving thing for a secure Artanis to do ) :
If you look at my game history I usually get serious when I get accused in forum mafia. I just take voice mafia a lot less seriously. It's just seeping into my game now because it's too much fun.

I see a myriad of potential reasons. I've played a bunch with Gumshoe on voice and he tends to be loud there.
