In Heart of the Swarm they're rearranged many buttons for Zerg players, who are using GRID hotkey scheme, and it required to adopt to new layout. Well, one of bad things was a merged Burrow/Cancel commands into one.
I've rebinded Burrow to F1 and always used Cancel command as Escape, sometimes required that hotkey as "B"
Haven't tested it in WOL, but it works well in HOTS, just go to \Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Accounts\<numbers>\Hotkeys\ and open your custom hotkey-file with Notepad. Then find your hotkey command and with , add a new hotkey. Here on the picture above I now can Cancel buildings with Escape and burrow units with F1 or B.
It may help you, because there is no option "Allow hotkey conflicts" for Grid-users. This is a solution: just use 3+ hotkeys on one command.

What about the issue where the "morph baneling" button is on the same key as the "detonate baneling" button?

For Grid layout users, it's highly recommended that you use a hotkey file to custom a lot of frustrating hotkeys like baneling and attack move..

I have a custom hotkey set up, and I've used this way of editing the hotkeys for a while. I have cancel as F5 F6 F7 F8 and F9 simply because I don't use them for anything else and it's easy to just press any key up there to cancel things. Something that does annoy me with the new HotS hotkeys though, is that the nexus doesn't have its own stop command like the planetary fortress. I have G as build worker for all races, but I also have it as stop. With terran, it doesn't matter, because the planetary has its own stop command which I have bound to O, so there is no conflict. But the nexus now shares a stop command with ALL other units, meaning I have to have this conflict.

I used Grid layout in the past, but now I use a modified grid layout. What I did was just set it to standard, then rebind all the Zerg hotkeys to be the same as they would be in grid. For things like building units and such I still have it as grid, but abilities (explode baneling, fungal growth, inject) are all set to more convenient keys (f and the surrounding keys) than the bottom row.
So because I'm technically playing on a custom hotkey layout of "standard" but just rearranged to be grid, this doesn't affect me.

Well this is really cool. Is this only for zerg or all races?

umm, hotkeys can be changed for all races. The F1-B-Escape example can be useful for zergs. Maybe you can find your hotkey conflicts on grid layout for other races.

It's not blizzard's fault. Some person made the GRID layout, it's a custom mod, not supported nor created by blizzard.
Standard blizzard hotkeys are the following:
Morph Baneling: E Explode Baneling: X
the custom GRID Layout is as following:
Morph Baneling: X Explode Baneling: X
So don't falsely hate blizzard, it's a custom mod.

recently i've been trying to use camera hotkeys and wanted to bind them as ASDF, but it wouldnt work because sc2 would not allow for F to be used for fungal and camera hotkey 4 at the same time. With your method of editing the hotkey file, would it allow for it? So that when i have an infestor selected, F would trigger fungal but when i dont have one selected, F would function as camera 4?

Cool find man! Blizzard has always been negligent on the hotkeys that come with the game. If you want a Hotkey layout that is designed to work, I would consider TheCore.

Or, they needed BETA testers to find things exactly like this in a BETA test.

Also, they mess up tabbed production and other possible hotkey options with this.

As far as I'm concerned, it is Blizzard's fault. Why they haven't made an easily understandable and highly customizable hotkey of their own, to a game that easily requires 100 - 400 actions per minute, is absolutely ridiculous. You shouldn't have to rehotkey every single key on your standard setup just to move one damn key on the grid. Back in WC3 days, you could open up your grid hotkeys and drag click the key where you wanted it to go. It was a simple program that worked beautifully; in the hands of a skilled programmer, it would take less than a couple of days to set something like this up. It shouldn't be this complicated and tedious.

If you are looking for a great hotkey setup, I highly recommend JaKaTaK's post above. TheCore is powerful, fast, and efficient. Check it out!

Since the start of WOL, grid has been available as a preset hotkey setting in game (I have used it since release as I play all races) and has indeed had morph and explode baneling hotkeys on the same key since then also. It isn't anything custom at all. Most grid players fixed it once Blizzard implemented the ability to change hotkeys in game but until then you had to fix it in other ways or be super careful so you don't accidentally explode all your banelings when you actually meant to make more.

They definitely should let you move the buttons on units (especially for grid users).
Also yep, Grid has been one of the available hotkey setups to use since the beginning.
