Well, here's the thing. If someone wants to surrender that information, there's nothing we as a town can do to stop it. But they have to understand that there are inherent risks involved, such as making them a target in case maf got the role and they think people knowing about it is dangerous. Not to mention the thought of what a suspicious town can do to them if they don't believe them. Or even if they DO, imagine that. What if the town suddenly calls for that person to claim, then they start self-destructing over who has the role in question. It's just a shaky situation all-around. There are going to be instances when someone will feel compelled to claim, and I think when that time comes, we shouldn't just start throwing fingers around. | ||

So far I'm seeing a lot of people judging from previous experience/previous games. While this leaves me feeling at a disadvantage due to only playing the one game, I also feel like I have an ADVANTAGE because I can view the thread objectively and take peoples posts at face value. That being said, I'd like to answer some questions I've seen floating about. @GM First, I think that YOU appear to be the most pro-town right now because you seem to be the MOST focused on scum-hunting. Everyone else is concerned about thread cleanliness and order, which is nice, but you appear to be one of the only people actively asking questions and trying to get telling information from anyone. Cheers. Second, I have hardly any expectations about who should and shouldn't have posted by now. The only game I've played had a few active players and a few who hardly posted anything, so it's hard to say. Going back and reading the other games isn't the same. I remember with vivid detail how long between certain responses from the game I was actively engaged in...it's different viewing it from the outside. @Palmar Given the nature of the game, I'm wary of giving you any kind of pounding of fists until I understand your role better, no offense....so don't ask. @redFF If your claim is real, I like it. Amber appears to have a lot of street cred in the mafia forums; but make sure that before you pursue any further actual action, you consider that the posting restriction might extend into the PMs you'd get to share. @everyone making lists Stop it. Unless it's a list about the happenings INSIDE THIS THREAD, I for one am NOT interested. I'm assuming EVERYONE is EQUALLY badass at this game...and as such, everyone would be on my list. If you want to make a list, make a list of instances x player contradicted himself in posts in this game...or a list of people that Palmar has tried to get a bro-fist from. These are more telling than lists of people who may or may not be good mafia members in theory. | ||

That remains to be seen as far as I'm concerned. All I've seen so far is pointed requests to keep the thread length down and jovial little inside-jokes that are beyond me. I'm going back to reread Varp now, but nothing has really SCREAMED red to me yet. | ||

I found my play-style to be too erratic last game man. Yeah, I hit on Palmar before he convinced me otherwise, but only because I was building cases from nothing. I refuse to make the same mistake. Any analysis I post in this game will be well-thought out and as free of WIFOM as I can make it. Let's take last games' example. I was tunneling Palmar HARD before his brilliant play. But before the brilliant play, who believed me? And after? What support did I have from ANYONE last game? It was fully because of the way I was analyzing last game. I'm taking a different approach this game. I'm hoping I can convince more people this game. | ||

Active Lurking. Thread derailment is noticeable, provable and obvious. You can actually convince town to lynch someone who's derailing threads, as there's proof to quote and discuss. Lurking allows you to see everything, analyze everything and plan. Given the right excuses and bandwagon voting, lurkers can make it to the end of a game, easily. 2) During the night, who do you think is going to be a top-priority target for Mafia? Amber[LighT] - the supposed posting restriction would have to be offset by some sort of powerful blue ability to be fair for the player. Node, based on the fact that GM is just asking questions and BC is just making and commenting on lists. Node appears to have an opinion, and appears more green. Palmar's - Red's so far has appeared to be pretty straight-forward given everything we know about it is true and confirmed. We still don't know what Palmar's role entails...but he's making a big show of using it. 7) Assuming you had the entire town's ear and you know everyone would believe you, what do you want to say FIRST? It's going to take two shots to kill me. This survey is designed to make you think like scum. The Mafia are going to kill whoever they think is the biggest threat regardless. Right now, BloodyC0bbler is the most suspicious to me. His posts make me feel like he's speaking for the whole town, all the time. Almost as if discussions that aren't relevant to him...are scummy...period. And he's got followers, which is scary by itself. Pro-town..besides me (herp)....I'd have to say Amber. He's going to a lot of effort to contribute so far, and most of it has been relevant imo...by which I mean, I agree on most of his vaguely communicated reads so far. I also feel like Node is green. He's at least giving us his opinion, and most of it is fair that I've read. People I can't figure out... Jackal comes off as arrogant...but not so much scummy. Torte...from lack of posts primarily desk...very passionate, very adamant, very flighty GM...claimed early that he was avoiding doing pro-town things in case he's a mole. Essentially opting out of being a 'good' townie until day 3...when he knows for sure he's not a mole. This has been confirmed as feasible by...someone. What interests me is his very strict adherence to this policy. He hasn't given an opinion on anyone really, just asks questions. sandroba...knows what sandroba is doing. | ||
