Requires some .NET version I'm not exactly sure of. The latest should do just fine.
THIS IS NOT THE FINAL RELEASE. IT IS LIKELY BUGGY OR NONFUNCTIONAL IN SOME WAYS, AND TO BE HONEST I'M RELYING ON YOU GUYS TELLING ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT BEFORE I RELEASE IT MORE PUBLICLY.
It's pretty straightforward to use so you shouldn't have any problem just jumping in blind and giving it a shot, but just in case here's a quick rundown of how to use it:
First off, make sure that you haven't scaled the HUD up or down from its default-- while the tool will still work at different scales, what you see as you're positioning the HUD elements won't exactly represent what you'd see in game, so quite a bit extra tweaking would maybe be required to get things to look right. You've been warned!
After you run it, select the resolution you run LoL at using the 'Select Resolution' dropdown menu [i](Note: adding support for more resolutions is a pretty simple process, but LoL can be run at so many different resolutions that I only threw in the most popular resolutions. If I've overlooked a popular resolution, let me know!). If you play at a strange resolution or yours isn't supported, try to use a similar resolution to the one you play at. It won't be perfect, but it'll be about right.
At this point, all the HUD elements will be in their default positions in front of a clean, HUD-less LoL screenshot to give you an idea of where everything will fall. Drag the elements around the screen to place them wherever you want them to be. Right-clicking on an element will move it off-screen so it's not visible. You can retrieve an element you've sent off-screen by selecting it's name in the 'Reset Element' dropdown menu-- or, if you've just ruined everything, the 'refresh' icon in the toolbar will reset every part of the HUD back to its default position.
To save your HUD, click on the save icon in the toolbar. This will bring up a dialog asking you where you want to save the file. You want to save over your HudResolutionDefaults.ini file. You might want to back it up, but even if you completely ruin everything you can always just load up LoLHud again and save over your screwed-up ini with the default HUD positioning (which always loaded by default). If you're using the new launcher, this file will be at
"(LoL Folder)/game/DATA/Menu/HUD/HudResolutionDefaults.ini"
The new launcher seems to want it at
"(LoL Folder)/RADS/lol_game_client/managedfiles/0.0.0.9/DATA/Menu/HUD/HudResolutionDefaults.ini"
(Note: if you know a better place for me to put this that'll work PLEASE let me know) Once you've saved over the file, that's it! Either start up a game of LoL to look at your handiwork (a custom game of course, in case you've accidentally hidden the minimap or something) or refresh the HUD in-game by opening up the 'Interface' menu and just clicking 'Ok' without making any changes. Enjoy your new and improved HUD!
If you have any questions on how to use it or I haven't made anything clear, please let me know!
