Everyday is see a new Keyboard threat on TL.net and while i really like the new trend of getting mechanical keyboards all those threads lack information and structure.

So the purpose of this thread is to provide a poll on what keyboards you guys are using and what switches it has.
Also, for Europeans getting a mechanical keyboard is really hard and finding a reseller with decent shipping cost and support almost impossible so i hope all u europeans out there will contribute to the thread and share your information on internet shops and stuff.

Lets start with the basics:

Do you guys want to make a list of people with a mech keyboard and which one they have and are willing to take questions so that people looking for a specific keyboard can ask those people directly?

wow... run-on sentence.

Hey, I hope this works to reduce the clutter in Tech Support. Lately its been a more "Mouse and keyboard recommendations" sub forum. Thanks, its about time someone stepped up, haha.

Wow great job, I'm going to be buying a new keyboard within the next month or so and will definitely get some use out of this.

Probably the Rosewill RK-9000. It's almost identical to the NKRO Filco with blue switches, and if you catch it when it's on sale, you can get it for as little as $85.

Just received my Razer Black Widow today (replacing my Logitech G15) and it is a complete dream to type on. Membrane keyboards definitely feel weird now. I was thinking of getting a Filco but spending over a hundred dollars on a keyboard just wasn't an option for me.

I feel that people make too much of a deal out of the blue switch sounds. It's not THAT loud. The clicking is incredibly satisfying and I would only be worried if you were living in the same room as someone else.

Just a heads up to people.

http://global.pchome.com.tw/

They ship internationally for really cheap rates.

$10 shipping to Australia, $20 to USA which is not bad at all. There also have a really good range of just about every keyboards you can find.

I am debating getting a Daskeyboard Professional, or a Blackwidow. Can anyone with experience / ownership of either give me input on how they compare? I have typed on the Daskeyboard and move the Cherry MX Blue switches. Is that Blackwidow's tactile feel the same?

The Cherry G80 gets no love

ever

Honestly after looking over what keyboards you have on the poll, you haven't even scratched the surface of what's out there and only have like 3-4 well known (and somewhat overpriced) options.

Regarding the switches there is no difference in tactile feel. They may be different in sound and overall feel due to the keycaps, but i havent noticed any real difference between my filco blue and the DAS my friend has.

Im totally aware that there are hundreds of different keyboards out there. I was doing some research on the G80 lately and found out its only like 50 Euros. I toyed around with the idea of buying one for it seemed to have that 90s oldschool feel to it. Well for this thread i sticked with the "most popular" brands since these are the ones ppl seem to get. Also there are only 12 slots in the poll and that was another reason.
But hey write a few words about the keyboard and provide some information on the various versions of this keyboard (there seem to be like 100 diff. versions of the G80) and we can include this as an alternative.

Using a Steelseries 6gV2 myself. After some research I've noticed some people really really don't care too much for the black switches, I don't really have any problem with em. Maybe that's because the 6gV2 is my first ever mechanical keyboard and it was an upgrade from a Logitech G15.

You forgot to mention the all time favorite, dell keyboard. Someone has to be using that or have used it in their life time.

Steelseries 7g and Cherry G80. Haven't used my G80 since I got the 7g, might do today!
