Pretty badass IMO and, being a huge fan of the first part, gives me goosebumbps! Can't wait to see more.

down-loadable content on xbox version however. i remember constantly having some awesome quests pop up and getting into it only to click "accept" and then become infuriated with a "click here to purchase quest" dialouge. i have no problem with buying quality add ons for a game but keep the fucking sales pitches out of the fucking storyline.. and another thing that bugged me about it is they had a ton of purchasable quest's available on release day. its kinda a slap in the face when you buy that shit day 1 take it home and then realize that they excluded parts of the game that have been complete before release( theres no reason it shouldnt be part of the game ) just for a cash grab. like i can understand releasing additional content that was developed after the game has released and making some money... but that shit was shady. i will probably torrent DA2

I hope they do a better job with the characters this time. There were many things that were very impressive about the game, but for a game so focused on story it was sad that the two most important characters Alistair and Morrigan were such a crybaby / bitch. Also I hope the combat will be more fun.

OMG I AM SO EXCITED OMG OMG OMG OMG I hope they fix the dwarves. The dwarves looked like a bunch of monkeys with their oversized arms compared to their height.

Sounded like they used the same voice actor, he was equally as much of a crybaby... I felt like they just got lazy. Nontheless I loved the first one and this trailer gave me goosebumps. EDIT: @ The guy above me... are you seroius? That's what freaking dwarves are >_<

You seriously think they are supposed to be oversized monkeys? -_- Such an ugly 3-d model does no justice for such an awesome origin story. Either that, or bring back the gnomes. I want to see tiny gnomes defeat giant dragons.

The main character's surname is Hawke [press release]. Male Hawke's default first name is "Garrett" (possibly spelled differently). [Podcast, Episode 2] NEW (08/05) Female Hawke's default first name is Marian. [David Gaider] NEW (08/05) Hawke can be male or female [David Gaider], [Mary Kirby], [Chris Priestly] Hawke is human [Chris Priestly] Hawke will be voiced [Five Facts] Hawke survived "the Blight" [press release] Hawke is known as "the Champion of Kirkwall" [press release] So you're limited to a human male/female as the main character? WHAT WHERE"S THE CUSTOMIZATION

This is sounding more and more like a sequel with updated graphics than something that deserves a "2" symbol. All companion (playable) races: ![]() At least the dwarves won't look like oversized monkeys anymore...

*spoiler alert* Evil threatens the world. You have to gather allies and then kill it *spoiler ending Thats the entire fucking story. No twists, no suprises and they didn't even bother naming the final boss. He was such a lame villain. You never got to talk to him, never interacted with him in any way untill the final fight where he just kinda sits there and you whack away at him.

Decisions made in DA:O will show up in future iterations of the DA universe. [Podcast - Episode 1] "...the DLC from Origins will be tied to this game as well. You will see characters from that DLC in this game." [Mike Laidlaw - G4 article] NEW

Sigh... Unless if they go through the Final fantasy 4/5/6/7 route and have a reaaaalllly epic story using their key characters... but given the track record of western RPGs and their focus on side missions, I don't have high hopes.

As soon as the conversation options popped up, I immediately recognized Mass Effect's wheel of discourse, but this version has the addition of helpful indicator icons. Basically, a clone of Mass Effect 2. Sigh. Ah well, I'll just lower my expectations. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, just like I was with Alpha Protocol.

Not being a big RPG fan, I thought the story was pretty good - mostly becasue I don't have much to compare it to. I guess the ending was pretty anticlimatic now that I think of it, but I still love that game ;x High hopes for #2!

Oh look some guy wants to talk to me. NPC: "Hi I need help theres a super awesome tower with treasure and stuff we need to leave right away" ME: "Okay lets go" NPC: "Please input your credit card details" ME: "wat" I bought one of the DLC missions but it was so disconnected from the story it might as well have not existed. I would have much rather had it integrated into the story/game in the first place and just paid more for the game for it to be done properly.
