Thoughts on making the Ro8?
-first of all I’m glad. When I came, our head coach said: “You have to get to LA.” Now I’m one step closer, so I’m glad. I really hope I can go.
You had some slight errors in the first game, did it affect you for the later games?
-It seems like everytime I start off with some mistakes? [laugh] When I first built the Cannons I wanted the opponent’s Drone to be unable to build a Hatchery. I wanted to use Gateway for sim citying, but I screwed up. I cancelled and then rebuilt it, and the observer just happened to see it. Something that wouldn’t happen in 100 games of practice just happened to come up on TV, it’s really disappointing. Even though I started off poorly, there was still a chance, so I was determined even though I lost the first game.
The opponent 4 pooled in game 2.
-I always suspected that he would 4 pool, but still the worst happen. He was happy cause of the spawning locations and scouting, but he was overly ambitious, and he lost Zerglings to Probes, and was disadvantaged. If he killed my Forge, I’d be the one crying right now [laugh]
You started conservatively in game 3.
-Not only because the opponent was Kwanro, the opponent lost a Drone so he was probably tilted, so it seemed like he could’ve attacked directly to my main [laugh] If I gave him a chance to come kill Probes, there would be regrets, so I did everything I could to prevent it beforehand.
You’ve never been the Korean representative, are you ambitious for that?
-Even though I want to, all the remaining players are good players. If we play together our abilities will increase, so that’s a good thing. Going abroad during the off-season is an experience, so I guess I’ll just wait and see what happens.
Your opponent in the Ro8 is Bisu.
-I think now it’s going to start getting difficult, but if I prepare well, it won’t be too bad.
The end of SPL and the individual leagues have seen poor results from you.
-It’s true it’s worse than usual, but now I think it’s fine. But now there’s only WCG left for me. Even though there’s STX Cup, WCG is something that not everyone can go to, so I really want to grab this chance.
