I have completely mapped all the keys for all the races, I have even added the Attack, patrol, Hold Position, Stop, and Move commands. The commands I have not highlighted are the Cancel(Escape), Select idle Worker(F1), and the control keys and their modifiers.
I decided to do this mapping for people to develop the best hand positions on the keyboards. Below all of the Image Maps(Besides the map containing all the hotkeys for each race) are a legend of the hotkeys and what they do. I have 3 Sections, and 5 Subsections for each one.
Race -Map of all hotkeys -Structures -Unit Creation -Unit/Building Spells & Abilities -Research & Upgrades
I have posted this blog on starfeeder.gameriot.com For anyone who does not know what gameriot.com is, it is a blogging website that host a number of popular games, from Starcraft, to WoW, and many non-blizzard games.
http://starfeeder.gameriot.com/blogs/Starcraft-2-2/Full-List-of-Keybinds-and-Keybind-Maps
If I get enough requests to post the entire thing on starcraftarena.net, I will take the time to move it over here.
On a side note, I will be working on a unit spreadsheet in the future, and try to keep it up-to-date as possible. If anyone has any suggestions or any other project ideas send me a message, or comment here. Thank you

Nice work! You missed W for protoss warp gates.

Doesn't Starcraft II have a separate set of key bindings for left-handed players?
|
Thanks
Nevertheless I will use the QWERT bindings, makes it easier as I am used to them from Wc3.

Nice little hotlink for when I start playing Terran...
Couple things I noticed: 1) The keyboard in the picture has Z and Y swapped with their keys lol 2) Zerg Unit: Drone - isn't on there
Thanks for taking the time to do this

i find QWERT easier since its pretty much the exact same for every race.
|
I would also highly recommend using the QWERT bindings. They're so much easier to use; plus my hand doesn't hurt after playing SC2 a few hours.(like SC1)
|
i dont get it why people still use the normal binding. qwert is easyer but t on atack is not good to i change this one. ( i shift qwert to left because you dont need shortkey for move ) i think in 3 month everyone have there own bindings...

it's only better if you don't play as Zerg. select drone is the same as build drone, so if you spam select drone while waiting for larvae to pop, you'll accidentally make drones when the larvae do pop

I might be missing something but where are the binds for tech lab and reactor? I think I have screwed that up so often, it is the reason I can't play efficiently.

X for Techlab C for Reactor ^^Did you mean what are they or where..I don't comprehend your question, C is below D, X is below S

Z and Y are swapped because this keyboard uses a german layout, you can also see it on the Ä , Ö and Ü.
And thanks for posting this atrops

Thank you!
It'd be good if there's at least one more such list, which isn't with German kbd layout though. (Z <-> Y) Kinda freaked out at first :D

i just wish u could customize hotkeys

I don't get why immortal i produced on "i".. how the heck can you hit that?

"In case you're wondering it's illegal to change hotkey setups at tournaments so competitive players have to master the standard default hotkeys." (ref.)
So all BW progamers in all Korean leagues use the default hotkeys. I think that's fair, and should stay like that. This also means whoever customizes hotkeys (in some way) is not taking the game seriously, and is on the level of maphacker and the like. Basically wasting their own time.
And, since all major international tournaments are played with standard US keyboards, learning on another layout is useless for anyone who is being at least a little bit serious.

I guess this is a huge incentivefor non-US players to learn to play using the Grid setup.
And I think it should be legal for grid setup to be used since although it's not THE default setup, it's one of the default options provided by Blizzard.

I think any key setup should be legal to use, just because the standard setup is the standard setup doesn't mean its fair to force everyone to use it. Just imagine the difference between hand sizes and shapes. And if you think about it, you wouldn't force lefties to use a mouse designed for righties either as well as you wouldn't dictate runners how to tie their shoes.

Very nice. Will you do similar writeups for all hotkey settings?
|
I also like the qwer keys a lot more then the normal ones. All the spells on yxcv all the units on qwert usw makes it very easy to learn and is n1 to play with.
The only strange thing 1t2t3t .P But after some time it feels like a much smoother action then 1a2a3a. But now in every other game I try to atack with t ....
My only problem is when I play protoss. I always have to change the keyboard layout otherwhise select all warpgates(which I never use because I hotkey my gates anyways) is on y and blocks like everything else (on the german layout >yxcv<) and it really sucks if it bugs mid game.
Well i hope that I can change the hotkey for select all warpgates on realise .)
