The players and the coaches have a means to sustain their livelihood through the sports they're involved in even after they retire, but for SC players, they have at most 3~4 years (as opposed to 10+ years for other actual sports). Of course they'll be anxious about their future, combined with young naive players with no strong moral fiber is a recipe for corruption. I'm pretty sure these young players don't even know they've become a part of the ring.

But Moon still won anyways, and the edits were found out eventually.

Thats pretty insightful. I'd expect general consensus to eventually come to this, I think its close to it already here at tl.

They made a map be much more favorable to the race of the first place guy so he would win again. When they found out Wc3 pretty much died in korea
