Going to be hard to stay engaged to a game in which you never know whether the best players really lose an upset, or they got paid a couple grand to throw the game. Sort of takes the fun out of it. In all popular sports spectators always get suspicious when a big name player loses. But it doesn't prevent most pple from supporting these sports or prevent young kids from wanting to turn pro. BW will survive.

'Hey you know what's funny? The special interview between boxer and savior. Just to think boxer suggested savior to create pro-gamer union for betterment of pro-gamer treatment... I think boxer would be ashamed he ever said that. Talk about telling a crook to be a police. This part's biting me in the ass too. Boxer was being all honest and idealistic, giving the double interview with savior and trying to get the ball rolling on progressing ESPORTS, and savior was sitting there going "Yea, YEAH, I know exactly how you feel - you're my brother, homie!". At the same time, he was fucking having a whore sucking cocaine off his cock bought by money he got by raping the proscene through gambling. Hypocritical piece of shit. I mean, seriously, swindling the system, careface - but such blatant dishonesty? Going behind people's backs, undermining their good intentions? I'm just... ![]()

Savior had a guaranteed future with E-Sports, he could make a living off it as a coach, commentator, what not. He had no need to gain a few extra bucks, he was raking it in. Yet he still decided to ruin the integrity that so many hard working players built with their sweat and blood. He was not pushed into it with desperation like the no namers who had no real security after their unsuccessful and unprofitable career as a progamer, he was pushed into it with greed. And I cannot stand for that shit.

They have dedicated the best years of their life to starcraft and have gotten shit in returns but a place to sleep. Just some people who wanted security after their careers are done especially with no education and no real world skills. Not what they did may be ethically right, but I understand the hardships that brought them to the breaking point. Its not like their careers as progamers were forced upon them. They chose it willingly, along with its consequences. Just like any sport, progaming its a competitive business. If you don't perform, you can't expect to be set for life. I feel no sympathy for cheaters who abuse their position to get ahead in life.

![]() Cracklings for rolex is fair deal imho In future savior will write a book about how loosing games for money brought him to slump, it happened so many times before in other sports. He will stand before the mirror, and say to himself: I'mTheBest!I'mTheBest!I'mTheBest!I'mTheBest!

2- law and punishment can only do so much to prevent an action because the underlying causes of demand do not change. To lower the demand for match fixing: 1- expose the risk of it to gamblers so they are able to account for such risks themselves and bet less. Smaller pots, smaller profit from fixing. 2- lower any taxes imposed on gambling so gamblers do not have to bet more to earn the same or less than the amount they would otherwise earn (obligatory libertarian suggestion) 3- invest more into esports so players do not have to resort to these "alternative" means to make a living out of ideas.

I'm actually pleased that it happened to high profile pros because it will serve as an effective deterrent for rookies than if a fellow rookie got caught. With all the media's attention, it will also be more difficult for everyone (without balls) to make the choice to fix matches in the future. You can't completely stop it of course since the incentives still outweigh the consequences, so the ideal solution is to introduce a death penalty (in the form of permanent suspension (actually, let's just kill them off)) to give the consequence enough weight and effectively limit the amount of people willing to walk this tight rope. In any case, you can't soar to new heights unless you hit the ground; the level of SC will continue to rise~
