Another night, another... night of Starcraft! Yeah! For tonight's matches, we bring you another four players vying for a spot in the Ro16. With all of ToSsGirL's love (darn I need to find that interview!), our first contestant tonight...
"Who's smug now?" Kal!
Team: STX SouL
Last 10 games: 6-4
Oh Kal, though I'm sad to see you drop on the power ranking this month, it is warranted. After all, you failed against Neo.G_SoulKey, letting Stars AK your team! ...Either way, while Kal has hasn't had the most terrific time for the last while, he is still playing well, as evidenced in his recent game against Flash. He's also placed into both leagues by virtue of his seeding, but either way he's going to have to impress tonight. Can he KO the Magikarp? Will he be able to overcome the "imba" of ZvP in order to shut down great and YellOw[ArnC]? Stay tuned to see.
"Why am I so tall? Goojilla? That's right you better run in fear."
For his first match, Kal faces up against quite the modifier, Tony the Tiger's favourite word, the awesome adjective known as...
"Mentally italicized for emphasis" great!
Team: Samsung KHAN
Last 10 games: 5-5
While great does boast boast a 45-25 record against Protosses, unfortunately the ones he has triumphed over have not been anywhere near that of Kal's level. However, this is great's night to be great, and tonight, mutalisks will fly, zerglings will scamper, and lurkers will look cool on screen as he tries to take down Kal. Will he be able to do it?
"Frosted flakes! They're more than good, they're..."
On the other half of the board, we have ourselves... what is this? A wild Magikarp appeared? Alas, it is not thefearsome Pokemon that has flopped into our midst, it's...
"Why isn't Jaedong gay for me " HiyA!
Team: Hwaseung OZ
Last 10 games: 5-5
Interestingly enough, HiyA hasn't played a zerg in 11 games! (Last zerg he played was great) And tonight he finds himself facing one that has won an OSL silver medal. Is HiyA up to the challenge? Given the current state of TvZ as well as his 62.86% TvZ winrate, HiyA must be ready for tonight. Will it be enough to take down YellOw[ArnC]? Stay tuned, folks, for tonight Magikarp could potentially evolve into Gyarados, destroying everybody in20092010!
"This Magikarp that knows more than just Splash and Tackle..." (I also know Flail!)
Finally, (as flamewheel91 slowly runs out of time) we have a very old player amongst us, one who has been tearing up the fields and maps of Starcraft since 2003. Please give it up for...
"No, you're thinking of the OTHER YellOw" YellOw[ArnC]!
Team: hite SPARKYZ
Last 10 games: 5-5
YellOw[ArnC], throughout the course of his Starcraft career, has accumulated a very nice winrate over Terrans, coming in at over 60%. However, today's metagame for TvZ has not been kind on Zergs. Is YellOw[ArnC] going to be able to turn the clock back a year, back to the days of the 2009 Bacchus OSL, where he defeated the likes of Flash and Light? Or will he be just another victim to the ever-growing power of the Terran Death Ball?
Actually, my favourite colour is green?

HiyA 2-1
great 1-2
YellOw[ArnC] 0-2

This is the first group that has a protoss player in it... so I'm looking forward to more varied matches. Kal is solid, very solid, in PvZ with a very nice winrate. Conversely, while great's 45-25 ZvP record seems nice statistically, his wins are mostly over relatively lower-class players. Given the state that Kal has been playing in recently, I predict that he'll take the match. On the other side of the quad, HiyA's TvZ is nothing to laugh at (he has Jaedong for a training partner... yeah...), and even though YellOw[ArnC]'s ZvT is of comparable statistics, I think Magikarp will be able to splash his way to victory given today's TvZ standard. For the winner's match, Kal's PvT has been monstrous of late (see his latest game against Flash), and that'll put him slightly over HiyA in a (hopefully) epic match. Another ZvZ comes in for the loser's bracket, and for some odd reason I'm feeling great over YellOw[ArnC], though I'm not comfortable about this one. Either way, HiyA will walk over whichever zerg manages to come out of the loser's side, putting him and Kal in the Ro16.

Bad play by the loser. Winner defends early game aggression well.
+ Show Spoiler [Game 2] +
Such a scrappy game. Bad transition for the loser though.

Winner was so sexy in his play. Meticulous control and multitasking.

Boring match, not worth watching.

I really really just have to say this: + Show Spoiler [Spoiler!] + Otherwise very one-sided.
