The Final Day ![]() The doctor came in the morning She held my hand And asked "was it worth it?" "Could it be worse than this?" Please recall Give me a hint Anything will do If this was the last time now you should tell us what to do CubEdIn sat on a hill overlooking the town. He considered everything that had happened, the blood that had been shed. He saw that the town was waking up. He realized that it was over. A gun lay at his side, the metal shining in the rising sun. He raised it to his head, and blew out his brains. I was afraid I guess Now I can't think no more I was so concentrated On keeping things together I've learned to focus on I didn't want to disappoint We picked up the pieces. We mopped up the blood, rebuilt our houses, tore down the gallows. Our town, our new home, had shrunk in the days of chaos. So many empty rooms, so many filled graves. Still, it is dawn. We have banished the demons in our midst. A new world awaits us. Now where is everybody Is it still light outside? CubEdIn is dead. Town wins! TL Mafia XXXVI has ended in favor of the town. Stay tuned! Role list, clues, and analysis to come.

+ Show Spoiler + Day 1: + Show Spoiler + There are small things that point to every single player with a KP. It was not suppose to be strong enough to convict people, but rather have a discussion point. Day 2: CubEdIn- + Show Spoiler + It talks about speed, referring to Cube’s ludicrously fast internet connection. Meapak is running all-out, sprinting, yet the mafia is able to catch up to him easily. In addition, Meapack dies with his face contorts in surprise, horror, and pain, and then... silence which describes the GIF in Cube’s profile.Day 3 Beneather + Show Spoiler + Master Chef = Master Chief Also the dog meat pointed to the dog in his profile pictures Day 4 Beneather + Show Spoiler + The picture is from a Halo 3 promotional movie (check where the image is hosted) Also he is a Masked Man, and has a gun papapanda + Show Spoiler + He has a zerg thing in his profile. He takes the form of an alien “thing”, and the “greater good” is meant to point to the overmind / queen, as all zerg act for the benefit of the overmind. Day 5 Beneather + Show Spoiler + The Suspicious meat hints that the same person committed the killings as the Day 4 killer Day 6 CubEdIn- + Show Spoiler + Various references to speed. The picture is of speed (the drug), many words pointing to speed. Again the actions of how the person dies. The pain and sudden relaxation Overall LunarDestiny- + Show Spoiler + He had a Karma theme going. Day 1 he mentions “bad luck”, Day 2 he kills TheAldo because TheAldo was a Coward. Day 3 he forgets to submit his clues, so the mod puts a clue in as Karma The concept in the first couple of day posts was to introduce the theme of the no flipping setup. A scientist developed some sort of poison that would turn blood black, instead of the usual mafia conceit that the color of a player’s blood refers to their alignment. In the second day post, everyone blacks out after making a toast -- it was here that the poison was delivered. Also, I can’t believe how many people latched on “steel”. It was a complete coincidence that so many posts mentioned it. In addition, the day 4 post (again, completely accidentally) had a reference to “steel” in the song lyrics, which I’m surprised nobody found. The songs never actually pointed to anything, I just thought they sounded cool.

Speaking of LSB, I'd like to thank him for being amazing. Half of the day/night posts would have been severely delayed if not for him, and his writing and contributions to the clues were impeccable. He kept the game from going completely off the rails, and is such the bestest cohost evar. Still, in the future I'll probably send the PMs and let the cohost handle posting the day/night posts. ![]() I'd also like to address the inactivity problem. Out of 31 players in the game, 7 were modkilled permanently, and 3 were replaced. Essentially, a full third of the people that signed up for the game couldn't meet the activity requirements. That's ridiculous. I can understand personal emergencies, illnesses, and the like, but I guarantee you that the vast majority of inactivity is not caused by that. Any and all balancing the hosts did ahead of time simply goes out the window when important roles are killed off due to inactivity. The mafia probably would've still been in the game if papapanda didn't happen to go inactive the same day bum and beneather died. SiNiquity (vet) and Mr. Zergling (vig) both held very important roles for the town. Because of the recent inactivity epidemic, I'll probably avoid playing in and hosting large games for the near future. It'll always be a problem, but come on guys, I know we can do better than this. I'll definitely pursue bans for every person modkilled without having a good excuse for going inactive.

I thought this game was really, really fun I think I need a break from the no flip mechanic however, also thank you so much for providing a way for us to see the Mason/Maifa conversations, they make finding out what happened this game much easier.

Not really. The mason forum was a front for all that entered new. I had people roleclaim green, and such, and never told others in the circle about BB. For instance, Barundar was in the circle, and had no idea that BB was medic.

Also, please note, from Mafia forum, when asking LSB if I can guess who second medic is: Qb3 02-10-2011 04:44 PM ET (US) Either Mr.Wiggles or BrownBear. \o/ These two were most "forgiven" by the town, even though they were just as, if not more obvious than I was. Mr. Wiggles for inactivity, BB for pushing same things I was pushing. It's a pity there were so many mod kills, and it's a pity nobody DTed me to have me confirmed green. ![]() Also, Coag was killed because he said "tell your scumbuddies we're coming for them" lol. I was like "naw you didn't!".

Mr.Wiggles was rather inactive during the game, but his mason pics were impeccable. RoL, two medics, and then Barundar. Well done. So, I wasn't trying to do this, but was I posting way too much? Cause I think I have over 200 posts, which seems really high for a game of about 2000...

I can definitely understand not wanting to use the forum extensively, it was more of an "it's there if you want it" thing. But I was worried that nobody was taking advantage of the role. Yes. I used PMs and IM extensively. The forum is too public because it assumes that you trust everyone in the circle as soon as the come in. I never trusted anyone for a few days. Also, apologies to Barundar for keeping him in the dark. You did a good job of picking up the slack when school called me away. (If I ever held any slack). Also, thanks a TON to foolishness and BloddyC0bbler for general advice and help on how to build a good analysis. Hopefully I'll get good at is one of these days.

I'll post some of my PMs if people want, Kav did a really good job this game, my activity started to dwindle at the end haha, I think I'm gonna start more analysis in the future. I also would've done that clue analysis, but I honestly couldn't find anything too compelling. I'll post my PMs if other masons don't care if people see how they play or something. Mr. Wiggles... Soooo imba Kav too.
