Also fascinated with how you dislike FFE in PvZ so much, I think opening 1 base is still very interesting against the current 20-supply third metagame.
Anyway, hope you stream more tomorrow!

Nothing new here, NonY was known in BW for the exact same thing. I don't understand that at all. He still plays passive with mass sentries, he just gets his natural up way later. Even when he does try to pressure with zealot/sentry, he ends up losing all of the sentries, which puts him even further behind. in the games i stream im experimenting a lot with tweaks here and there. and im playing vs ladder players that do weird things that pros dont do so i havent given them much attention. i have already figured out a variety of nice timings that work really well that im not doing on stream. typically an earlier timing (leaves at 6-8mins) and a later timing (leaves at 11-12mins) that transitions into late game if necessary or all-in if necessary. but doing something "simple" like 2gate expand into 3gate and forge then attack at 7:30 can easily have a dozen variations, and when interacting with different maps and positions and zerg builds, even more variations. and when you add in the different tech and probe counts and upgrade combos and gateway counts and 3rd base timings etc that you transition into, the possibilities are plentiful! hopefully i can perform the good builds well in a tournament soon and i will continue to refine them and figure out other working variations in practice. there are very few builds in sc2 that fit my style. the builds i like are probably the hardest to figure out. i was good at bw because i got to copy off the work of pros who had been developing builds for 8 years as a starting point and then make the tweaks that i saw fitting. these are builds that literally hinged on how you spent 200 minerals at a certain time or whether or not you could hit a 5 second timing window, etc. in order for things to matter so precisely, a million tweaks need to be made. and that takes a lot of experimentation once i get my mechanics up to a world class level, i'll be able to figure things out much much faster. i waste too many lost games on poor micro or macro without really learning anything. it's posts like these that remind me why i'm a fan well said nony, well said also honestly i deal with the same problem of there are so few pros who play styles that i like so i don't really have a starting point to build off of :/ especially PvP can't make heads or tails of that mu 30% winrate ftl :'(

That is genuinely the most inspiring thing I've read on Team Liquid.

Nony, I am still convinced you are playing FFE on a smurf account we do not know about and you are just waiting to drop it in the semi finals of IPL to blow everyones mind. Just putting it out there so when it happens, I can say I saw it comming.
