Speaking of HDM, is the BBC show ever going to actually come out? Been looking forward to it almost as much as Brexit and they’re about equally delayed to oblivion.

The 'æ' ligature is not used in modern English except as a way to inject historical feelings. Looking at the list, none of those are ever used outside of historical sources or fantasy fiction. What ZigguratOfUr wrote is inaccurate. If used in a professional setting in UK unnecessarily, you will certainly get a lot of odd looks. It is neither acceptable nor encouraged. If you want to use æroplane because it is in a wikipedia list for a fiction you are writing, go ahead, but don't expect it to be accepted in normal use.

"Daemon" as opposed to "dæmon" is fairly common but only to again give it a medieval theme, especially popularised by games workshop games. Nobody would use "daemon" in common communication like "to excercise one's demon". "æ" is not used in modern English. Normally, if anybody have cause to write "aether", they will write it ether. Words containign "æ" are only ever used in fiction to only give the fiction an ancient fantasy feeling. In England we are never taught to type "æ" and indeed I have no idea of how to do so, except to copy and paste "æ". I am not 100% certain, but in german, "äther"(aether) and "ether" (ether) are completely different things. Wikipedia seems to support the idea that it works similarly in english. Ethers are a group of organic chemicals, some of which are intoxicating. Aether is a 19th century physical theory that proposes that light propagates as waves through a medium, the aether. It is in conflict with the modern scientific understanding of how light works, and pretty solidly disproved by experiments like the michelson interferometer.

For all the posts he could've made i think that doesnt really even warrant a warning, let alone a permaban. Yeah I don't really see why that deserves a warning, let alone a post.
