There used to be someone that somehow aggregated all the actual bans over the history of the entire website. From there you could actually see who was the harshest mod, not by verbal lashings or dealt with the most reports, but who tended to perm rather than two day, etc. They stopped doing it awhile ago, but it was pretty interesting while it was there.

When Neeb won the KeSPA cup, there were many people whining about balance and about Neeb winning only because he switched from Terran to Protoss. I did nothing of that as I am not a balance whiner and in general, as long as there are winners from all three races in big tournaments, I am fine with the balance. To be honest, I was surprised that the moderators did not ban these people, but as I am not a friend of banning people, I did not care. I was just happy for Neeb. I was surfing through the news looking at what articles had new comments. To my suprise, there was a new comment at the article "Becoming God" about Flash. "What is that?" was I asking myself, "why does someone comment something about Flash in the moment of a great victory of Neeb?" Or is it a new article about Neeb and they accidentally used the same name for it? There were already a few articles celebrating Neeb's victory in the news, so maybe, this was the "God no. 2" article. So I looked inside and realized, it was just someone posting that he does not play BW, but likes this kind of article about Flash. I still thought about the funny moment when I thought that someone actually wrote an article celebrating Neeb "becoming god" and decided to "make a joke" and I wrote: On October 04 2016 07:21 Diabolique wrote: I did not read it, but - is it again something about Neeb? :-) User was temp banned for this post. I respect the most TeamLiquid authors, administrators and moderators. Unfortunately, the fact that there are individuals among them, who do not follow any TeamLiquid rules and ban people (who have not broken a single rule) for their personal amusement, is very disturbing. For myself, the fact, that some idiot can come and ban me for no reason, completely killed my passion for StarCraft 2 and any willingness to discuss anything at the TeamLiquid. I would understand that, if TeamLiquid was a personal page of that idiot, where he could delete / remove anything, he does not like. But TeamLiquid page is (at least pretending to be) a community site related to the StarCraft 2 scene. It is even much worse, when this happens in a moment, when our favorite game is dying, teams disbanding, game being removed from tournaments ... Is it really the goal of TeamLiquid to kill interest and passion for StarCraft 2? If yes, then OK, my fault, I just misunderstood the purpose. If not, I would be interested, if you do have any procedures in place for banning incompetent moderators from their powers (in this case MoonBear).

![]() Mods have been taking a lot about context and post history lately. The post your quote seems harmless enough, but I assume there's more to it than just someone's amusement. What was your ban note? Did you send hate mail to kbb begging to be freed? And at that point, as opisska says, we are approaching forum feedback material. ![]() (I'm not German, and I know basic arithmetics. Sense of humour can be discussed I guess.)

And that was your 5000th post, in the ABL, you see how your fate is sealed now ![]() I think that Diabolique has a point, even though it's not formulated in an overly firendly manner by him - the SC2 world is getting smaller, maybe it's about time to slowly trace back from "brace for the impact of the masses" to the "small community" approach and let more things slide in stracraft-related parts of the forum, in order to have some people left there

Don't misunderstand me - I am still against the ban on Koreans from international tournaments, but this does not prevent me from being happy for a decent, humble, hard working foreigner winning against Koreans. Exactly the opposite. My favorite moments from all SC2 history were when Snute has beaten two recent GSL and SSL champions at IEM. When Neeb won the KeSPA cup, there were many people whining about balance and about Neeb winning only because he switched from Terran to Protoss. Lots of effort goes into making TLFE articles, and for someone to post "didn't read it" and a joke that, total, adds up to about half a line, is really disrespectful. For many mods, posts like that break commandments 2 and 4. And now you're posting "I respect the most TeamLiquid authors, administrators and moderators" followed shortly by "For myself, the fact, that some idiot can come and ban me for no reason" shows that your previous statement was false.
