can't really say I'm surprised. he always did seem to come off with a bit too much of a superiority complex. Insulting people who disagree with you never accomplishes anything

Well, I though MoP would be tagged with a month maybe a 90 day with chance of parole but he finally went too far it seems.

i think it was more they told him he was on his last chance and he blew it. not so much that his particular post was so terrible it warrented a perm

Why are people sad that MoP is banned? He was a self-righteous, obnoxious, incendiary, holier-than-thou prick who was given far too many chances to shape up, and continued being a prick despite this. He was intolerable on the forum, and the embodiment of everything a civil and reasoned Internet discussion is not. I hope that contemptuous keyboard warrior never returns to TL.

Damn, I reported that post because he seemed really aggressive and just really insulting, I was hoping he would get a warning or 2day ban.
I came back... Nope.

Woah, was he honestly that bad? I thought he was generally a good poster. I honestly never saw the side of him that you paint, just that he'd lose the plot from time to time and get into a case of internet rage. But, then, I don't think I ever really argued with him about anything. So, that might account for missing the real bad side of the man. Anyway, RIP.

Good riddance. One of the few posters I could say made this thread shittier with out being hypocritical.

Plexa headshotted MoP? All hail Plexa!
He was smart and he followed the scene SUPER closely. He was always knowledgeable and backed up his claims more often than not. I just wish he hadn't been so damn abrasive and frustrating. He would just go completely off the rails on people. Really acted superior all the time. It's a shame he acted like that but I can't say I'm sad that he's going to be gone given he brought a lot of anger wherever he went.

hmm very aggressive posting :O I can see why he was perm'd if he was warned so many times before. Also, I had no idea who Has was until I saw him cheese Jaedong out of WCS AM and I still don't know much about him either lol. His posting definitely got the best of him this time. Maybe he'll reform himself after that if he was that bad of a poster? who knows.

I have given up on really discussing anything on this forum long time ago, for many various reasons, but I spend a significant part of my time reading shit here, probably just because I have nothing better to do. During that, I don't look at poster names too much and with most of the handles I have associated absolutely nothing - probably becuase I still don't quite understand this idea of judging people's characters from written text (that's also why I never came to terms with the abomination that is playing mafia online). MoP was one of the very few rare exceptions, someone who showed some kind of consistent set of opinions and maybe even a hint of personality behind all this text, while not being batshit crazy or an obviously fake "online persona".
Sadly, TL has created their virtual moral standards of a "good" and "bad" posters, which have completely no meaning anywhere far enough from this thread and now just follows them instead of common sense. However that should not be too surprising, because the online world is always the faster from the two, picking up on trends - and this one (mainly of pretending that if we don't talk about the stupidity most of the people openly, it will sort itself) is already pretty obvious in the offline world.
To wrap this up, I would like to say, that if you need a moderator to silence people like MoP to keep you happy on an internet forum, you should probably disconnect your computer right now and go live in a cave.

He may have been a prick, but he did know a lot about the game and stuff. It's a shame his way of phrasing stuff wasn't optimal.

at least he has someone who wrote a real eulogy for him, rather than commissioning Archas to do it.

EDIT: Plexa is bad at reading. Explanation?

I'm sad because I liked (like, technically, though I suppose it's unlikely I'll get to speak to him a lot) MoP and because he was enjoyable company in LR threads
