i am firmly opposed to people being banned on tl.net for stuff they do off the site unless they specifically relate to tl.net--tl.net isnt the world police (thats americas job). there are multiple occasions where this has legitimately happened (e.g., idra telling his minions to go after chill on twitter (?), some dude on battle.net who verbally attacked a mod knowing full well that it was a mod). since the guy attacked TB on a tl.net thread and then subsequently attacked him (after being banned?) maybe that is enough, im not sure, it doesnt seem enough to me. doesnt twitter have rules?

Of course it does, but the chances of someone who matters on Twitter noticing and then banning the guy, and then the guy not making another account seem very slim.

Hmm...I agree to some extent. My only real point in saying that is that it seems pretty clear to me from that exchange that he's not going to be a constructive member of the TL forums. In fact, it can be argued that he's particularly malicious so there's no reason to keep him around.
