He reminds me of this one poster from a couple of years back. I can't remember his name for the life of me, but he would basically start a thread on a subject with a controversial stance (or post in a thread already made with his controversial stance), but his viewpoint was always either ridiculous or unfeasible in real world application. Then when people called him out on his shit with good, solid posts with effective argumentation, the guy would respond to each post with stuff like "False," or "Nope, wrong." AND THAT'S ALL HE WOULD POST. No argument, just a "You're wrong, fuckwit."

A lot of people tend to do that nowadays; when they argue a point, they focus completely on why the other person is wrong, and not why their own perspective is right. No counter-arguments, no facts, no citing sources... it's just a constant mudslinging fight about who is wrong. I guess if your objective in those threads was solely to incite a reaction amongst people, then I suppose it's mission accomplished. If your goal is to troll, consider me trolled, because I get so angry at that shit. But I can't help but feel that the majority of these folks simply don't know how to conduct debate. Whether that stems from a lack of experience with debating, a lack of social interaction in general (seriously, I used to be the same way because I was a massive introvert), or what, but I know that it's really irritating.
So much so that I spent ten minutes of my life posting this.
Remember folks, the point of a debate is not to conduct an argument, but to find the flaws in each other's viewpoints and improve on them. Debate is meant to be beneficial for both parties by making your ideologies more concrete and solid. If you enter a debate with the purpose of trying to "win", you're doing it wrong.

I think it'd be fun to have "Confession Time" in this thread, where all the PBUs determined to correct their behavior (like Sands) reveal their previous identities, why they were banned, and how/when they realized they had to do it right this time around.
I got no respect for PBU #4958352 who doesn't give a damn about the rules, but the ones who are genuinely trying to be good posters are to be commended. :D

That thread almost went really bad. The Russian cross thread also looked bad before i got out. The mlg lr posting has been better than usual, or at least generating less bans.
