Not sure, maybe a better idea would be ladder rank to make the cut for N-player tournament? However I like the idea that BATLL is open to everyone.

Also what do you guys think about breaking the tournament into 2 different mini tournaments? I was thinking something along the lines of Tournament A being for Bronze/Silver/Gold/Plat league players with a 32 player limit and tournament B being for Diamond/Masters/Grand Masters with a 32 player limit. This way we can have 64 competitors and you don't have silly things like Gold league players facing off against Grand Masters, what's the fun in that? I'd be willing to donate to the prize pool of the lower league tournament if enough interest is there or we could just allocate like 100 or 200 of the total prize money towards the lower league tournament. It's just an idea but I am more then happy to help organize it and get everything in motion. Also maybe some show matches should be done just for fun. Such as 1st place from Lower league and 2nd place from higher league vs 1st place from higher league and 2nd place from lower league in a 2v2 bo3 showmatch ![]() Just brainstorming some ideas, I'm interested in becoming an event organizer eventually and I really think CA is an amazing place to do it so anyone please feel free to email me at TBDGwop@yahoo.com or message me on here. Again, Conan I'm in Sacramento so I'm close enough to help get this in motion. Contact me please.

I am Gold and while i would love to get destroyed by Suppy again (Happened in the first tourney I played ![]() EDIT: Also I have been wondering if maybe Ben a.k.a. EGDeMusliM might have moved to the Bay Area in time to play this. Cuz that would be awesome :D

Regarding a lower league tournament, I think it's a really good idea. I think we may start it after the first rounds of the normal tournament have already passed (so more computers are freed up), and we can definitely do a separate prize pool for it by donations. At the very least we will likely be able to give a gear prize for the winners of the lower league tourney ![]()

Tournament format looks (tentatively) like this: Ro64 Bo1 group stage, each player plays other three players, top two from each group advance. 16 groups of 4. Ro32 Single Elimination Bo3 Ro16 Single Elimination Bo3 Ro8 Double Elimination Bo3 Ro4 Double Elimination Bo3 Ro8 Loser's Bracket Bo1 Ro4 Loser's Bracket Bo1 Ro2 Loser's Bracket Bo1 Winner's Final Bo3 Loser's Final Bo3 Final Bo3 (Winner gets a Bo3 advantage) Once we reach the Ro8 of the main tournament, we can begin the diamond (or gold?) and below tournament, which will be a single elimination bo3 format. Good news is that Eudemonia will be shutting down the store in order to make room for us. They will be making a spectator area with projector + seats as well. However, we may have to do a spectator fee to help recuperate some of the costs of them shutting down the store for us. Buying some of Eudo's snacks would also be a great way to support them for letting us use the whole store for a day! Dinner will not be structured, we will simply have about a 1.5 hour break for people to go around and find food (lots of good restaurants nearby). Last time we all went to one restaurant and it took several hours for everyone to finish because the restaurant was overloaded. In order to facilitate running things more smoothly and getting the brackets generated efficiently (it often took as super long to get the brackets up and delayed the tournament significantly), we will do a 10-11 AM check-in time and try to generate brackets by 11:30 with seeded groups. Final thing is that although $16 pays for the all-day pass, it will not guarantee a computer for your use the whole day. We will be running MLG style for the beginning of the tournament, meaning there will be 8 stations of 4 computers for the first 8 groups to finish, then after the groups finish the next 8 groups will rotate in (so make sure you remember your SC settings!) and finish their groups. For Ro32, all competitors will move to a station again to get a computer, and so on for Ro16 and onwards. From the start of Ro16 there will begin to be open computers until the diamond and below tournament begins. So consider the $16 as simply an entrance fee, and as the night goes on you will be able to nab your own computer for the rest of the time. Let me know if you guys have any issues with anything here and we'll try to fix it or come up with a better solution!
