Why the **** didnt you make this thread 3 months ago -_- in all seriousness. 1) Dont express that surge of hate you cant explain towards X person. Just call your mum and rage about lindsay sporrer instead of TL. 2) There is much more to this website then SC2 / BW and streams. It is a community that you (given you arent a douche troll) are invited to be a part of, accept that invitation humbly and contribute towards the greatest group of nerdlings that ever existed! And also, check out the threads in sports and games, want a break from sc2? join one of the six million TL communities on other games. | ||

Don't insult posters, discuss what the topic. Don't theorycraft in the Strategy Forum. This means if you just imagine a strategy that involves unit counters, don't bring it into a discussion thread as the solution for whatever is talked about. Read the stickies in the top of the Forum Index. These will let you know about the basics before posting. Don't martyr yourself. Read mod warnings. And if you have something against mods (Stereotypes OR getting warned/banned once), try reading the Automatic Ban List to see just how hard they work to Protect TeamLiquid from the Scum of the Internet. If a thread shows people disproportionately in support or against an idea, like 95% to 5%, dont be that 5%. It has the potential to massively derail threads and can lead to your ban. This website is one of the most heavily moderated sites Ive ever come across. Its not really a good place to dispute anything because sooner or later words like "faggot" and "moron" starts getting thrown around and when people's feelings get hurt here, the offenders get swiftly dealt with. Part of the appeal of TL is that people with thin skins can feel comfortable here so keep that in mind before you post anything. Don't be the guy to broach personal attacks using words like "f*****" and "moron." You can argue against the common wave in a thread (Back UP what you say, please) but know when the topic has gotten so far off the original discussion topic to stop. Don't mistake good moderation with protection of thin skins. Someone with 200 posts can even get this wrong, as seen already. Be the smart newcomer that realizes mods don't invent grudges for their own personal satisfaction. | ||

Oh, and if you lurk a board for a bit, you can oftentimes find out what people are good for listening to there.(Example: I am the LAST person to listen to in Strat. But I don't post there, either.) If you have something that isn't thread-worthy, or that is too low consumption to dig through the potential drivel that would end up being responses to it, just PM those guys. Odds are, they'll appreciate not having to bounce verbal crescent wrenches off of digital skulls in the process of explaining. | ||

To answer your question, we know that TL is pretty unfriendly or at least is perceived as such by many. It's also pretty hard to use, and so we want to change that. This thread is a part of that effort why now and not earlier? Well. I'm sure you know how Blizzard speed works when it comes to projects.
