PS: Thanks to everyone who applied for the writing position! The first round of hiring is over, and we're trying to organize what we have now. All the applications are still on file, and we'll be looking through them again to fill future needs. What the fuck, that was fast. So no more translators for now? T.T

I'm happy to do as-needed translations instead of having to search out articles/interviews to do. Any chance there is a part-time volunteer spot just for that? My full-time job doesn't really leave me with much time to explore outside of TL/reddit.

I did a few of translations back in the Jan/Feb GSLs but stopped due to my uni projects. Having graduated now, I feel like I could and should contribute more to the site considering how I spend a lot of time here.

I think he was probably talking in terms of deadlines for translations, e.g. 2 days to do a translation or something.

I could make some translations for free but not this to be a job for me... So seek for volunteers to make translations whenever they can and to contribute to the community OR seek for employers to make this translations on a deadline and give them the chance to get something out of it! At least say that there is a chance and not all of them are gonna be paid!

At least say that is a possibility for some people, if they are good in their jobs and do it well enough, to get paid a little bit! I don't want to take part in it (with money or without) but i find it unappropriated to seek only for free employers all the time! They're volunteers, not employees, and as far as I know, no one on staff get paid except for the very, very selected few (and they do more than just one aspect of TL). Money is made to sustain the site and all its functions.

Money is made to sustain the site and all its functions. Yeah for that and to pay for daily delivery of fancy foods to their office.. Most of the content of this site is generated by unpaid people in their free time and 3-4 are living the good life off it completely. Which ever way you look at it, it is kind of an unfair business model.
