Like, do the edits glow in red? In some forums you can't, was wondering if it's different here. not all staff can see edits (i cant T_T!) but mods can. But they can only see the previous edit. So if you edit your post 2 times they won't be able to see the original post. So if you post something like "I love cheese" and edit it to "i love cookies" they will be able to see your infatuation with cheese and cookies. But if you change it from "i love cookies" to "i love milk" then no one will know your feelings for cheese.
That's actually good to know. Now I can hide my evil conspiracys against the mods !. Muhahahaha

How in the world is this tournament not over yet ... http://challonge.com/liquid I think all the games were played anyway, so just edit in the results and show us the games after the TSL
I know this question is not the most sensitive one ..
How do you feel about the fact that liquid players lost a lot of matches in the last few weeks ? I mean it is bumming me out (although I think its a phase). And to be clear : They are still fucking awesome and win a lot. They still have decent rankings in tournaments and get far. But not Nr.1 far. Still with the best players out there but just not winning anything

So this is my situation:
Every single game-related forum I've participated, I've always had this nickname, and I've always had my sign at the end of my posts. ("//tx")
TL is the first forum in which someone (actually 4 or so people) told me this is retarted or w/e. I understand how TL works, and as you might know, some other forums have profile pictures displayed on the side of their posts, that helped people recognizing the poster. You might just keep record of all the names of all the posters you want, but having an image to relate to the person is much easier to remember.
In TL we don't have that (even though we have a profile picture, it is not displayed on the post).
TL is also the only forum that has seen a negative side of me signing my every post. I've been in many forums, and if I ever had to read/hear from this signature, is from some people whom I chatted with and for all I've heard, not only they thought it was a good thing (knowing it is me, posting on that user, on forums that other people had access to my user) or knowing it is me even if I'm not posting from my usual user (even thought it's easily fakeable).
So, not only this is the first place I've been told it's annoying (even though there's a lot of more annoying stuff going on in every single tournament thread and BM complaints and IdrA vs HuK/Tyler & Day9 vs IdrA related discussions), but this is also the first time and place I'm being punished for doing it.
If this wasn't bad enough (at least for me), it makes me really sad to see that I've got a warning for it, when the fact is that I'm not even breaking any explicit rule. You know what's even worse? I heard warnings stay on your account forever. You know what's even worse? It was 10 hours after I got a message from a TL mod telling me I could keep doing it. + Show Spoiler +A (very nice) TL mod asked me to stop doing it, and after a couple of exchanged messages, I convinced him that it wasn't actually that bad, and that the people who actually complained were, like, almost non-existant. I mean, I've only seen 5 people complaining after 600 posts... In the end he said it was okay, I was free to do it, and that he'd message me if a lot of people started complaining.
So this is more of a confession of my sadness rather than a question. I really didn't feel like I should have this warning, especially when I had a mod telling me I was free to do it.
Anyone else doesn't think this is fair?

I don't think it's warn worthy, but I'm not a banling so there's not much I can do there. I do find it annoying though (but as I said before, I don't feel like it was important enough to do anything about). I generally don't like "signing" posts on any forums, since there's both the user bar and signature area.

Signing posts almost always leads to parody and off topic responses which degrade the topic as a whole. To avoid the need to manually sign posts Teamliquid actually provides a nice little box below each post called your signature in which you can have the same thing following your post every time. I notice you seem to have accidentally put ""A coward is not someone that runs from a battle knowing he will lose. A coward is someone who challenges a weak knowing he will win."" in yours. If you wish to have the signature "//tx" at the end of your post then I recommend going to your profile and entering the signature "//tx" in the box marked signature. That way after every post your signature will appear as your signature and everyone will see your signature instead of ""A coward is not someone that runs from a battle knowing he will lose. A coward is someone who challenges a weak knowing he will win."" which is currently your signature but not actually your signature which could confuse people into thinking your signature in your signature is your signature and that your signature, signed at the bottom of your post, is not your signature because it's not in the signature box provided by tl which is automatically placed below every post as your signature. Hopefully that clears everything up.

The problem is that what functions as the signature is under "quote" on profile page. May be confusing for some~
Tschis I suggest putting your //Tx after "A coward is not someone that runs from a battle knowing he will lose. A coward is someone who challenges a weak knowing he will win."

Tschis, not all warnings are born equal, yours is hardly worth any bad guy points. It won't affect any of our future actions.

Well if the signature space were used to sign the post, then having "//tx" signed at the signature space should be considered inside your above affirmation, and would lead to as much trouble, right?

lol, I should take this as a joke on me? =P Especially the ending line, hehe
Even though I can understand your point, there's a difference between signing your post with your name, something like
"Yours, KwarK"
or
"Sincerely yours, KwarK"
and having a phrase or quotation on the signature, which is what most people have. In some other forums people even add images in those spaces, images that may not even be related to the forum content/user nickname.
If most of the people use it as a space for having a nice quote (such as me and yourself), I don't even know why it's called a signature, since it doesn't really fullfil it's "job" + Show Spoiler +From wikipedia: A signature is a handwritten (and sometimes stylized) depiction of someone's name or nickname that a person writes on documents as a proof of identity and intent. Similar to a handwritten signature, a signature work describes the work as readily identifying its creator.
So actually, I think that all the people using the signature space for something else than a depiction of their name, would be causing more trouble than me, who just adds an actual depiction, but at apparently + Show Spoiler +I say apparently because actually I've not seen anyone using the real signature space to a real signature. the wrong place.

I have a question regarding the Report button that i have the privilege to use now. Sometimes i see a post and i don´t think it adds anything to the discussion and is just well bad but i´m not sure if it would be worth a ban or warning. Can i get in trouble if i use the report button in a post that is not ban/ warn worthy?

If you're consistently sending in post reports that are totally asinine, then yea mods can take away your report button. Borderline bad posts are fine to report though, and if the post is fine, then mods can just brush it off pretty easily. Just use your good sense, as far as I know, it's extremely rare to get your report button disabled.

What do you say to the idea of "professional" and "unprofessional"* being used in the body of a post in the SC2 forums returning a warning to the poster** that they better be damned sure that their usage of their term is justified? I've already though about it and it probably won't conflict too badly with the relevant usage about ESPORTS where we refer to players as "pros" rather than "professionals."
*may or may not have just seen "unprofessional" used in a moronic manner for the 5000th time in SC2 general.
**or redirecting to djWHEATs blog on professionalism.

I think you need to mention whether they would be playing BW or SC2.
