And our jungle ursa, who ensured we had 2 shit lanes doesn't read patch notes. Doesn't use ult to do more damage and get kills, says ulting wouldn't of gotten him a kill, he was 100% wrong! But oh, well, he just afk jungled as lanes fell apart, got fast blink and aegis and then got no kills because he doesn't know how hero works! And then blames me, the one guy getting wards for not having a bigger impact. Hey buddy, I'm five support who is only one getting detection vs bounty and bought every ward. I end game with same amount of kills/assists as you with 4000 more damage. And I only had brown boots and an urn. While you had lots of items. Imagine if you could actually use them well! So go get your inflated head out of your ass and get good. | ||

And some of the comp quests sound pretty dumb and ruin the game. Don't have a compendium, so I'll ask - are there any that involve Techies? Because I've been getting a shittonne of Techies on my teams too. And not one of them halfway decent or useful. | ||

But yeah, quests certainly do change the way I play the game. I've lost around 1k MMR thus far. Went to low prio 3 times. Still, that's only because of some quests that were really bad (the 2 heroes shackle shot took me 51 games, and I don't want to ever talk about the arcane rune quest, that's the major source of low prio for me) but overall I like them, they force you to vary your heroes and try new things. Not always for the best, that's for sure... | ||

I don't get why you would do compendium quests in ranked play. Unranked is generally easier and you won't get the same amount of complaints. If you play in a sub-optimal way to complete quests in ranked play you deserve the low priority. | ||

I don't play anything else than ranked. I don't consider ranked as TI qualifier or grand finals tho, so doing quests there is not a problem in my book. | ||

Ooh enemy omni fucking up our lineup of ursa void and wd, void should jump in and catch omni off guard if can so that he wont ga thereby fucking our team up. but nooo this ursa decides to go blindly to a place with no vision with axe slardar qop with ults and ss off cooldowns and tries to look cool. and when i ask him why did you jump in blindly? he said he had aegis. well dont you realize that maybe picking off omni 1st would be the wiser safer more foolproof option instead of just going LEEROY FUCKING JENKINS on their entire team? idunno, maybe we could have gotten a teamwipe and proceeded to win the game that we already fucking won? and i thought this guy already learned his lesson but nooo he buys back, jumps into fog, and gets killed by axe qop and slardar. supporting these kinds of people and having to rely on them to carry the game is fucking bullshit. why do i even play solo queue anymore. | ||

You're choosing to play the most competitive mode available when you're intentionally not playing competitively by trying to fill objectives that aren't in your team's best interest. | ||

Stupidly unbalanced game. Lost 26 points, we got naga'd, our 5.7k qop tried but they had too much lockdown. What pisses me off is yet again, another trash lifestealer game from someone picking it. I know the hero is supposedly good, but I've yet to ever see it play out. And this guy was fucking 5.2k. And I'm the 4.2k dazzle trying to not feed. Fun game. | ||

I do try to win in ranked match, I always do and the quests only validate if you win anyway. So no question about that. Now, the issue arises when you go unorthodox builds or picks or behaviour. Which are sometimes required for said quests. It's all a matter of reaction in the end. If myself I am already frustrated/pissed because it's the 30th game I'm trying to complete the quest, because I had it completed the last game but "my carry sucked" or basically someone fucked up (me included) or whatever reason, and showing a bad attitude : that will not go well with an unorthodox build, that's for sure. Still, I really don't agree with how the report system work. You can not report someone for doing a build that YOU don't like/don't feel optimal, yet people do. And seemingly, nobody ever watches the replays and or read the report description, it's only a matter of number. So if you piss off the russian straight away because he picked spectre solo offlane, and verbally pressure the support because he doesn't upgrade the courier ever, well you just got yourself 2 potential report already. Now your 12 years old carry goes solo and dies somewhere, you were close with no mana. He gets mad and call "report" while pinging you 12.000 times, well you just got 3 reports. So if you add to that, a non-meta play required by some quest, well you're basically doomed. I don't like how the report system works, tbh. Better than nothing, sure, but... it's too "opinion-related", imo, to keep using this word. | ||

The report system in individual situations has flaws, but I'm pretty sure in aggregate it works more or less fine. I don't really know that I've seen people get sent to low priority without doing at least something pretty questionable. There's some unorthodox build stuff that you may get reported for, but you only really get those reports if the build doesn't work to begin with. Even then most threats of reports don't actually come through. I've been threatened for builds before but never saw anything come of it. | ||

I've been playing since 3 corridors, well, since warcraft 1 demo if you want to go back to the very roots. So yeah, I believe I can try things and still give some sort of achievement out of it. Despite you, or this random dude, not thinking it is the play. But, probably most telling : valve made it possible to complete quests in the ranked mode, so... yeah. | ||
