I don't know that many heroes and a lot of people usually just random. So I though that if I someone else was going to random, I could random and if I got someone I didn't know, I'd switch with them (and if I got a character I know I'd get 200 gold). Sound reasonable? So I ask my teammates. Is anyone going to random? Can I random and switch with you if I don't like my hero. Sure, go for it, says one guy. So I random CM. Never played CM before actually. So I go okay, let's switch. Assuming, of course, that he would pick whatever character I wanted to play. He also randoms. Gets Earth Spirit. He doesn't know ES. I don't know ES. He doesn't re-roll. Keeps yelling at me to switch with him or he will feed. What the actual fuck. What the fuck was I thinking, with my logic and everything. Should have just first picked Venge and played bitch support like every other game. | ||

Random in ranked is stupid. I figured if someone is going to random then at least maybe I can get 200 gold out of it? But yeah I agree, never random in ranked. Never. If you can't decide juist asks omeone on your team and coordinate. | ||

It's just bad for the team as a whole if you get a hero you don't want (even if you can play him). But yeah I guess it doesn't matter since most teams don't even try to coordinate anyway lul. I just personally hate it. | ||

Honestly I think any random past the first guy is just being a dickhead. My team won a game yesterday with 1 silencer counterpick. Silencer + Refreshern = ~12 second silence vs Spirit Breaker, Lesh, Lina, Jugg..... we annihilated them in every team fight. Knowing that just one counter pick can be so strong... why would you say "fuck it, I'll take my chances out of the 100+ heroes to get out that fits my team's needs" EDIT - IN RANKED I understand sometimes you just want to play a certain hero. | ||

As a matter of fact, when I play normal mm I pick heroes I don't like and I crack jokes up on the mic (horrible ones really) and everybody laughs and we dont tryhard and we fail miserably sometimes but it's fun. Because the whole team is on the same page, we're ALL having fun. I'm not getting my kicks by ruining all other 4 people's day. Ofcourse those trollers are still lurkinng around and appear betwee ngames but eh, for the most part it's not that annoying. So yeah I just only hope that when people play ranked, they think about their team a bit more. Anyway, sorry for the prolonged QQ! That game really haunts me now lmao. Cheers~ | ||

If your carry could get his first item 30/60 sec earlier that will make his item progression exponentially faster since his first item will most likely help him get gold faster for more items. Besides, if you are a good support you would know there are other ways to get that gold by means such as pulling, ganking, securing the runes (bounty), jungling if your hero allows it. | ||

My team was Venge (me) Aba (wanted to carry FML) Puck Huskar and one more. So obviously early game they will be a total nuissance, but they can't actually win against us if we play safe and just farm. Now tell this to my team. Yelling at each other the whole time, muting each other to the point where I have to tell them what the other is saying. Huskar tells us all to fuck off, Aba keeps bitching, Puck keeps telling Aba that carry Aba is stupid etc. Spent the better part of an hour telling everyone to shut the fuck up and just play. Watch out techies, don't go over there by yourself, you need to farm not try to take a fight at THE WORST POINT IN THE GAME FOR YOU TO FIGHT. Why do people automatically assume that if you're losing, you need to 5 man and team fight? How does that make any sense at all? If you're down a lot in kills, it means they are killing you and have more farm. Do you.... force more fights when you know you're going to lose OR try to farm so your late game composition is better than theirs. After we won a couple of team fights even the QoP on their side was saying they can't win against us. We WON that game and I rage quit dota after. UGHH....... THIS GAME! | ||
