I have over 1k solo games by the way. Would you win 55% of your games at 7k MMR...? Meanwhile if Waga had your MMR do you think he'd still only win 55% of his games...? Did I say or even imply that I was as good as Waga? This can't be that hard to follow.
Then stop complaining until you get as good as Waga. You basically just admitted that it's perfectly possible to win some 90+% of your games if you were better at dota. I dunno when the discussion turned into one about the efficacy of mmr, but my original point was that unless you're actually as good as the top pros, there's always something lacking about your play that you could fix to win your game. Instead of blaming your teammates for no reason, you'd be better off improving your own play.
tl;dr If you're not 6k/7k, stop whining about teammates and get good

Either way, if you were as good as Waga then you wouldn't be losing your games. Whether you keep whining about your teammates or actually realize there are things you could be doing to win is up to you. Take it how you will.

I have bad news for you in terms of the Peru-ness of that game.

As for the Waga example, even if he plays with and against people who are mostly worse than him, most of the time the average MMR of each team is relatively even because the other team will also have one very high rated player. Hence if he holds an MMR of 7k, he is not really expected to win more than 50% of his games. He'll probably win a bit more because you can't always find an even game and you may get those +5/-40 games that you are heavily expected to win, but anyway you understand the point. If we assume that the matchmaking system finds games where both teams have the same average mmr, a player will eventually reach a point where he wins about 50% of his games when his ability doesn't allow him to progress in mmr any further.
If we take as another example a 4k game where the mmr range between players is only 100-200, but one team has a player who has a "true rating" of let's say 6k, then the team with the 6k player will most likely win the game and gain a lot of mmr doing so, because the system thinks the game is even although it is in reality very lopsided. The difference to the Waga game is that while in Waga's game also the other team has a high rated player who feeds off the mistakes your teammates do (or the other team will all have mmrs somewhere between Waga's and his team to balance it out), in this game the other team most likely will not have such a player. This allows players who are better than their current rating raise their mmr fairly quickly, especially if the disparity is large.
Of course there are still games where your team picks/plays far worse than the opposing team for whatever reason, but on average that isn't going to be the case. And of course you also have to make sure that your hero, your lane, your role and your play are such that you can use the skill disparity to impact the game as much as possible.

I can judge the outcome of a game based on which team has the Sniper and I think that says a lot about how shitty pubs are right now. I really want that ranked ban pick mode.

I'm setting a record atm with an 8 loss streak :[
Never helping a friend with low prio ever again
|
if i win, i get matched with ppl 500 mmr above me, i play support, mid feeds and we lose. if i lose, i get matched with ppl 500 mmr below me, some1 snatches my mid even if i told i go mid, proceeds to feed, we lose.

When I tryhard and play ranked, specifically picking Spectre that I absolutely know I can 1v5 with, I'm sitting on a roughly 80% winrate. I've actually stopped playing ranked for a while now because frankly it gets tiresome trying to carry headless chickens.
Whilst your general point of "if you're better than the people you're playing with you'll win and get MMR points" is not exactly unfounded, it IS tiring to grind out the games to raise your MMR when you're effectively forced to play something that you absolutely know you can carry your team with if they turn out to be turnips. Since you get relatively little from each win or loss.
On the topic of QQ: by the gods the servers have been AWFUL lately. Random massive packet loss and all that jazz.

I first pick sniper, we get 0 supports outside of jungle cm who doesn't actually buy courrier or wards, get a last pick ember spirit who demands safelane, forces me to offlane as sniper, ember feeds first blood. 13 minutes in, their axe has a blink, slark has shadow blade, crystal maiden has 15 deaths, their jugs has farm, at this point i just abandon cause yeah maybe they would throw, but it's not worth my time when I could do other matches that actually will be enjoyable.
|
I just got punched in the face and reminded why I don't queue on US servers, god damn peruvians. Enemy team has 3 blink initiators, our Zeus despite being told multiple times, including in spanish that we went to an online translator to tell him to ult at start of fights so they can't initiate, still gets echo slamed/blink storm bolt and dies and then complains, I assume cause I don't speak Spanish, and does that super annoying laugh.
|
Yes, pick storm spirit into doom. Yes team, let's afk jungle and farm after wiping the CK, SF, Doom, Lina, Vengful team. Our line up is only lich/storm spirit, who gets a 30 minutes first item linken's, PA, chen and jakiro. Let's have the game go late and see what happens, let's not push.
GG, easy loss, easy victory for enemy team.
